No-one tested my urine when I went to the GP or midwife first of all! The first 'confirmation' I had from someone was at my 12 week scan...

Apart from the 15 HPTs I did in the run up to the scan of course... :rotfl:

Same here, no test, they just take your word for it.
  • Finally got to sleep at about half six this morning. Not sure of maybe I have a water infection as I can't stop going. Though I have no pain it burning so maybe it is just pregnancy related. I feel so shattered today I don't know what to do with myself.
Hope everyone else is having a good day

  • Hi Ladies,

I'm 9 weeks pregnant today! I'm so excited, this is my first! I've already had a scan at 7 weeks because of a previous ectopic pregnancy and all was ok. I just can't wait until my 12 week scan so i can relax more and tell everyone! xx
  • Hi emily and welcome.

I too had a scan at 7 weeks, got my 12 week one on Monday and can't wait to tell everyone at work. Told my family as if anything was to happen i would want them to support me anyway. Told the headteacher at work too as I have been fainting so wanted her to know in case anything happened to me.

Got a real bad head today. Got a mortgage appointment after work too, could do without that but hey ho.

Glad you got some sleep happydays, isn't it awful when you can't function the day after a poor night sleep. Early night for you.

Nice to know im not alone in some of the symptoms - mainly the very up or very down nature of emotions.

Booking in was different I think to most - i dont do medical professionals unless Im seriously ill - so end up getting very stressed out and anxious - midwife was lovely about it - Im getting first appointments of the day or during quiet times so Ill be in and out as quick and hassle free as possible.
Midwife was lovely even after I vomitted on her. oops how embarassing!!

    Scan next, then quad test.

Im a high risk pregnancy coz Im a fatty so Ill be getting extra appointments with the consultant

No ones actually tested me they just take your word for it. My urine isnt even tested by my midwife its sent off.

Im weeing a lot more than normal, its because the uterus pushs against the bladder as its stretching.

Here its Doctors who refer you to midwives, but I saw a sign there yesterday saying you can self refer to the midwives? (my doctor just gave me a load of information about my care which wasnt right :s )
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

    Welcome Emily and congratulations!

I've not really had the needing to wee a lot, only sometimes (I think I'm not drinking enough in the day when I'm at work :o)

Phunkles I'm glad your midwife was nice and understanding. It's good that she has taken note of your concerns and given you appointment slots to minimise your stress.

    xx

Oh Simple that must have been terrible for you. Great news though that your beanie is still there, what a little fighter! :)
