Wow you lot seem to get seen quite quickly. I spoke to the midwife today and I wont be seeing anyone till about the end of September! She was going to call back in a couple of weeks to arrnage a date. I can see why with the risk of mc in the first few weeks but man that seems like ages away!

I am seeing MW on 20th September and spoke to her today after seeing my doctor as it's not been that long since I last saw her :o

Went to see doc's today for my blood results and told her I had got a + as I know it would make a difference to my treatment.

I think I can't really get my head around it yet and after the MMC before DD2 I just I learnt not to accept it was really until we had the Private early scan which DH has agreed we can have again this time.
If you can think it........it will happen

    Hi Ladies,

Just popping across from the 12-24 week thread, I still read this one as well!

I read a post on here over the weekend (sorry can't remember who posted it now!) and it was about the Silver Cross 3D Pram system. I've just bought one of these from babies r us and they are still running the free car seat offer. So you get the car seat and pram for £299.00, this was by far the cheapest I found. I also got a £10.00 knocked off as I joined the Mother and Baby Group (free to join) So in total I paid £289.00 for my pram and car seat and I love it!

The lady was very helpful and showed us how it worked and fits together, we tried when we got home and it was really simple! It comes with everything you need, changing bag, mat, raincover, footmuff etc.

I choose the pram and car seat in rouge and I can't wait to start using it!

OOOH! That was me who posted :) Fab! I will def have a look at that, what a bargain price :j:j

Morning all, another newbie here coming over from the TTC thread. i got my BFP on Saturday but haven't been able to post until now as I was away for a long weekend.

I think I'm 4+3 and the online calculators tell me I'm due on the 30th of April 2012 so VERY early days!!!

I'm seeing my doc on thursday anyway so will tell him then and I'll have to have my bloods done as I have an underactive thyroid.

I think I'm going to have to change docs too. I moved 30 miles away from the current one and he said I'd have to change so have been pretending I still live at my parents as he's a fab doctor and I really trust him. i really don't want to change but if he won't let me stay but refer me to my local midwifes then I'll have to :(. So it may take a while before I can get refered to the midwife.

I think I'm 4+5 today, and although I'd been keeping an eye out for anything different in me, not much had changed except I was super thirsty and weeing more QUOTE]

The being extra thirsty was my first symptom really. I have had more frequent need to wee but I already go quite a lot so I have only noticed it now and again.

I'm so glad you guys have said that being thirsty is a symptom!! I very rarely feel thirsty normally but have been drinking loads and still feeling thirsty in between! I'm going to have to get some decaff teabags as thats about the only thing I drink and I beleive you're only really meant to have a couple of cups a day.

Other than that the only symptoms I've had are some twingy cramps in my tummy and I had a bit of nausea on sunday but nothing since so might be a coincidence!!

Oh yeah, and I climbed a mountain on Saturday....probably not the most sensible thing to do but I'm determined to carry on as normally as possible for as long as possible!

I'll shut up now, I think I've written a long enough essay!!!

How much was the private early scan and at how many weeks can you have one? I would be tempted :o We got our bounty pack yesterday and started reading through it. My OH has already started talking to my tummy bless him :)
  • Hello and welcome to all the newbies!

lisa26 I'm impressed at the mountain climbing! One of the first things I lost was the ability to properly exercise, zumba made me feel sick and a session in the gym caused almost instant shortness of breath and buzzing in my head, I really miss it though. I'm now just walking as much as I can.

I'm now into week 11 and got my first headache last night, the nausea came back to join it too. I'm not as tired though which is good! :)

 Hey Lisa, glad to see you over here. I felt very honoured on Saturday to be the bearer of your good news to the ladies on the TTC thread :)

I was just over 4 weeks when I joined the thread and I'm now 7+2 and the last three weeks have gone quickly! :)

Near me the private companies charge about £80-£90 and you can have the scan done from 8 weeks. I think that's standard. We would have had one if we had not had one last week on the NHS.

I read that you shouldn't do Zumba when pg anyway as the movements are not good for beanine and apparantly a lot of intructors won't let you join in the class once they know you are pg.

Icey I'm loving the name you have for your beanie. DH has decided to call ours Sir Alex (he's a Man U fan!) which has kinda stuck now!

I'm feeling ok today no nausea yet this morning, although I'm not going to worry as I didn't have any Saturday morning and it kicked in in the afternoon instead!

Has anyone else found themselves putting on weight quite early on? My tummy is definitely bigger (although I think due to be feeling more hungry when I'm not feeling sick so eating more rather than due to my raspberry sized beanie! :rotfl:) My clothes are a lot tigher and I'm struggling to get on most of my trousers/jeans/skirts! It's too early to buy maternity clothes but I also don't want to buy stuff a size bigger only to "upgrade" to maternity clothes in a month or so!
