Laura I'm not from Cambridgeshire but there are a couple of websites you can look at that show you how each hospital scores in various aspects relating to Maternity services:
    http://www.birthchoiceuk.com/BirthChoiceUKFrame.htm?http://www.birthchoiceuk.com/HCSurvey.html
    http://www.nhs.uk/servicedirectories/Pages/ServiceSearch.aspx

ETA: did the midwife tell you why she is encouraging people to go to one over the other? Is it that the one she recommends is better or (more likely I'd guess) the other one is over subscribed -which may tell you people's perceptions of each hospital. It could be that one doesn't have certain facilities such as the ability to perform c-sections and therefore if you were to need one you would be transferred to the other - this can sometimes put people off a maternity unit.

Thanks Emsbet, thats really helpful. I think it is because the Rosie is over subscribed - plus they are extending it at the moment and it wont be finished till the end of next year!

Seems really weird sorting all this stuff out, I dont even feel pregnant apart from an uncomfortable tummy (and wind!! lol)

Oooo! A week tomorrow- not long to go! :j
I want to find out the sex of our baby but DH is not so sure. I'm going to see how he feels nearer the time. If he really doesn't want us to find out then we won't as I want him to feel like he has some say in what's going on too IYSWIM

Is that something that you have suffered with in your previous pgs?

    Hi Ladies,

Just popping across from the 12-24 week thread, I still read this one as well!

I read a post on here over the weekend (sorry can't remember who posted it now!) and it was about the Silver Cross 3D Pram system. I've just bought one of these from babies r us and they are still running the free car seat offer. So you get the car seat and pram for £299.00, this was by far the cheapest I found. I also got a £10.00 knocked off as I joined the Mother and Baby Group (free to join) So in total I paid £289.00 for my pram and car seat and I love it!

The lady was very helpful and showed us how it worked and fits together, we tried when we got home and it was really simple! It comes with everything you need, changing bag, mat, raincover, footmuff etc.

I choose the pram and car seat in rouge and I can't wait to start using it!
