Hi ladies!
I've read back but for the life of me I can't remember who said what!! Sorry.
It's nice to see some newbies - congrats!
It's also lovely to hear how well everyone is getting on. Very sorry to hear of your news Bella. I hope you and your DH are ok.

I'm slightly worried now, lol - I've seen the Dr, then the midwife (twice - once at home) and no-one's taken any blood! She said they do that at my first scan & then she'll take more at 16 weeks to compare. Weird how things are different across the country!
Lost 3.5lbs at Slimming World & won Slimmer of the Week - feel such a fraud as it's only down to ms & eating crisps for 3 meals a day!

My midwife seems to want all my blood :rotfl: she said I will have more taken at scan and then more at 16 weeks. Like you say though, its just how things differ in each region so I wouldnt worry!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
I'm petrified of needles and so far the midwife had some and more was taken at the scan.0

I'm a newby. Found this forum and love all your stories! I am coming up for approx 7 weeks. Have first Doc appt in the morning. V. exciting.
Not too bad with ms so far, just really tired and could sleep 24 hours.
Is it OK to Slimming World? I am worried my weight will get out of control over the next 8 months!0 -
littlegem - yes SW is fine throughout pregnancy - it's less of a diet & more just a healthy eating way. The midwife needs to sign you off to allow you to continue every time you see her, but mine didn't bat an eyelid as she's done SW herself so knows how healthy it is. I don't want to gain anymore or use 'eating for two' excuse (when I can eat again) so I'm determined to do it right through the next 7 months
I found out I was pregnant two weeks after joining SW at New Year - I've lost every week so far and have lost a stone in total (3.5lbs tonight plus Slimmer of the Week)

Thanks C. I also started SW at New Year and had lost five pounds. Then, I found out I was pg and stopped. I will get myself straight back there if that is the case!
Well done on your stone! That's brill.
Hope the ms gets better. x0 -
Contact your consultant when you rejoin & tell her you're pregnant - she'll give you a form for your midwife & a little booklet. Cxx0
