Thanks pigpen. Will bear that in mind when I'm bigger and obviously preggers :rotfl: I didn't really know what was safe to take, and even had my usual hayfever meds in my handbag but didn't dare to take them :rotfl:TTC #3..........0 -

Hey everyone,
Hope everyone is well and welcome to all the newbies......
Emmylou - where did you get all the energy to do all those chores yesterday. I need to sit down after just reading your list.
I've been having some terrible hayfever over the weekend. I usually take tablets every year, but haven't thing year as we were ttc. Rang midwife today and she said piriton was fine to take, and that I could ask if the pharmacy would recommend anything else. He said he couldn't recommend or sell me anything until I'd seen the gp, even though I told him I had rang the midwife.
Thankfully, the gp squeezed me in an hour later, prescribed a nasal spray and some eye drops and said if it's not better in a few days to move over to Piriton. What a farce :rotfl:
Still having lots of nausea, but still no sickness thankfully! We're 8+5 now, so it does feels like we're getting closer to the 12 week mark. No sign of the scan date coming through yet, but I'm sure it'll be here soon.
Today is a good day for me sickness wise I too am having lots of the nausea but haven't yet been sick todaywe are still almost date buddies twig pig I'm 8+6 today and my tummy is mahoosive today too dunno if that is good or bad lol. I asked OTC for hayfever stuff as I was suffering badly too they wouldn't give me a thing !! grrrr its annoying I can of course understand why they do it but I think there is caution and then there is just plain OTT hugs to you hope your syptoms are alleviated soon
Hope everyone else is well and none too sick I'm just about to indulge a craving of mine for lunch having mashed carrot and swede with brown sauceyummy thankfully OH has gone to work so it won't be making him heave :rotfl::rotfl:

My tummy seems to go and down after most meals. I swear I'd have gained a few lbs already, but know from my Slimming World class each week that I'm still losing weight every week. Sometimes it feels I'm bursting out of my clothes. Really need to pick up some new undies soonTTC #3..........0

Can you still do Slimming World while pregnant? I'd be interested in this. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
I spoke with MD at booking in appointment. I've been at SW since January. She said it was fine to continue if I was happy to. In my SW book, it says that there a pregnancy book outlining small changes to the plan for women expecting, but as I'm not telling my consultant until after 12 weeks, I can't ask her for this......... From my internet research, I think you basically need to up your healthy extras (milk and cheese) which I've done anyway and I'm having things like orange juice that I'd never have had before. I still have treats and things if I fancy them.TTC #3..........0

That's really interesting, I'm quite upset at falling pregnant now as I know at the weight I am it's not good for baby, but as it wasn't planned I didn't have much control over it. I may speak to the midwife about this and see what she thinks when I see her.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

Yeah I would definately do that Gilly as twigpig rightly says it is a suitable plan when you're pregnant ! One of my best friends did it a couple of years ago when she was pregnant with her youngest son she was 2 and a half stone lighter at the end of her pregnancy from when she started, she freaked out when she first fell pregnant because it had taken her a while to build up to actually going and doing something about it but she continued regardless and has managed to keep the weight off too bless her. I think it is one of the safer "diets" because really it is just a healthy eating plan and that can't really be bad for a baby can it ?

I've been desperately trying to stay off the hayfever remedies until at least 12 weeks but I think I might have to slope by the docs tomoro. I don't routinely measure my asthma flow but now the nausea and squits have left me for a few days I've realised I don't have energy because I can't breathe. i can't believe I've let it fall by nearly 20%. I feel I may get a ticking off...0
