Evening ladies,
Hope that you are all well. Special Hellos to all the newbies! Its very exciting all these new pregnancies!
I have felt quite sick today... much to my relief! How bizarre does that sound! After being so ill with morning sickness with DD and not having any (so far) this time around, I felt quite concerned. But today I felt 'not great'. I am 6 weeks tomorrow and can't believe that in 6 weeks time (hopefully) I should be having our first scan. It seems like no time at all. But to be fair this pregnancy still hasn't really sunk in for me, as I haven't felt any different than normal.
Anyway, I hope everyone who is having scans soon the best of luck and to all those who are being very sick, take some comfort in the fact that it is a sign of a very healthy pregnancy.Thermomix Santander Sainsburys Creation Loans Fluid Card Tax Credit OP

Is it really true when people say that morning sickness is a sign of a healthy pregnancy? It really doesn't make me feel any better seeing as I haven't had any sickness at all!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0

I don't thinkso, my mother had not one ounce of sickness or nausea and I was 6 weeks early and still weighed 6lbs 2
I've had next to none either, I think it's said to people to try and cheer them up about the morning sickness, well that's my view personally. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

No it isn't.. the only time I was ever unwell during my pregnancies was when I had miscarried..

Hey everyone, I'm about 11 weeks pregnant and I'm really struggling with the sickness. I've lost almost a stone in the past few weeks and it got so bad I asked my GP for something.
She prescribed me cyclizine 50 mg and I've been taking it for a few days. I feel guilty for taking anything but it got to the point I couldn't eat anything and I was worried for little beans sake. Anyway the cyclazine worked a little but today I'm back to throwing anything up
Has anyone tried any pills that work well for morning sickness because I might ask to try something else. The joys of early pregnancy eh? x
This week I too have been prescribed this 50mg 3x daily I have to say though it is/has had no effect whatsoever and yesterday was one of my worst days for sickness so far ! I don't know what the answer to it is when I was pregnant with my 1st child almost 10yrs ago I was diagnosed with Hyperemisis and admitted to the hospital for rehydration through a drip and given an injection of a drug called stemitol 2x daily via injection the relief was almost instant and I felt so much better after it. I don't know if they can give this via tablets now or not but I may well be going back to ask, you have my sympathies I am finding it had too

Wow, don't check for a few days, come on for a catch up, and there are a load of new beans out there - congratulations!
Been reading with interest about the nipples - another sufferer here and after years of saying I'd never need a padded bra (got DDs) the padding really is a godsend for holding them down and stopping the soreness;)
Also agree on the cheese, but also wanting lots of potatoes, and tons of apples - I've never craved fruit in my life but am getting through tons of crunchy apples and litres of apple juice.
Big hugs to those with ms, I think it's just luck of the draw, but the odds seem stacked towards having it. Having told my mum about the baby, apparently she never had sickness with me or my brother, who both turned out fine (well, as far as brothers can!!) so perhaps that explains why I haven't had it.
At the moment, still feeling tired a lot, not feeling all that pregnant and you can't see. Also got a long wait for anything else to happen - nearly 3 weeks to next blood tests and the week after that a consulant appointment at 16+3. Apparently here I get booked in automatically because my BMI is high, even though BP was fine and no other issues *touches wood*
Hope you all have a lovely weekend:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls
