    Pleased for you twigpig :D

Hello to all the newbies :j

Actually managed to cook something from scratch yesterday (first time for weeks), admitedly did it at lunchtime as felt better but still cant eat during the 'witching hours' of 4:30-7:30pm.

So hubby (bless him) actually had something he could heat up and just add rice too. I don't know who was more  him or me as I actually managed to sit there and talk to him whilst he ate it. I did not feel great but it was managable. So went up at a respectable 7:30pm (I know late nite and all..) and had some cheese with crackers at 8pm.

Think the cheese may be enhancing my already 'vivid' 'unique' 'completely barking' dreams. Don't think I am the only one having those though :rotfl:

For any of you still suffering with the nausea etc :grouphug:

Note to self stop watching A&E programmes not good for the nerves.

    Take Care All

mmmmmmmm cheese with crackers!!! Must say, i'm loving my cheese at the moment. Gone off ham for now, and kinda gone off meat. We had pork stir fry last night. Couldn't eat it. Instead, buttered 2 pieces of bread and dunked it into the sweet and sour sauce. Gave rest to hubby for his lunch today. But now i'm craving cheese and crackers. Yummy!!

I am also having the 'is it twins' panic as I'm less than 11 weeks and already have a small bump! Part of me hopes the dates are wrong and I'm further along than they think - but that would bring my due date closer to Xmas!

CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SCAN!!!!!! :)

Hi everyone...I've been lurking on the board for a while but have decided to jump in now. I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow based on 1st day of last period. I've been having bad MS for about 3 weeks now and this week I had to get signed off work because I was just too sick and tired all the time.

On the plus side, my skin is better than it has ever been and I've lost half a stone!

I haven't told anyone except my husband, mum and boss at work - I won't be telling anyone else till 12 weeks because in my culture (I'm Indian), we don't.

I saw the GP 3 weeks ago and she hardly listened to me and just said she'd refer me onto the hospital. I called the hospital on Monday and they said they hadn't received any records for me. I've self-referred now but they say not to expect a booking appt/ scan letter till 11th July and that it's unlikely I'll have either before I'm 13 weeks. I'm really worried about this as my husband is a thalassemia B carrier. I don't know if I am a carrier but if I am, my baby is at risk of having thalassemia. I really want to have my blood tests as soon as possible - I've booked in with the nice GP for Tuesday and hopefully she will fax the hospital and ask them to push me up the waiting list.

The trouble is our nearest maternity unit has recently shut and the next nearest ones are struggling to cope with the increased workload. I've already decided to go back to India to have my baby but I can't spend 9 months there so have to get my pre-natal care here - hopefully they'll manage to fit me in.

Just popped home and had toasted cheese for lunch! Yummy!!!

Mouche - welcome. Shame about your gp! I would lodge a complaint if i where you. On the nhs direct site, when you look up a doctor near your area there, you can write a review on your gp practice.

As said earlier, you could have a private scan, but it might cost you up to £100.
Hope your situation improves, the last thing you need right now is to be stressed. Hugs x

    Hey everyone :D

I'm finally starting to feel pregnant :D My b00bs are definitely heavier and fuller, although I don't think they've got any bigger, and it may just be bloating but I kind of feel like I've got a little tummy, even though I'm only 9 weeks. I don't exactly *want* a tummy just yet, as it's just another thing to hide but I'm still a bit pleased as it's almost like proof that there is actually something going on in there!

Am getting impatient waiting for my scan date though, even though I know I probably won't hear anything for another couple of weeks at least!

    Hope everyone's ok today :D

    OMG> Cheeeeeeseeeeee......

I'm very much like you Mozzy, havent been able to eat meat since about week 4. Cheese has been my bestest protein friend.. especially mature cheddar. But recently started hankering after mozzarella (pasteurised of course!). Cheese on toast, cheese on crackers, cheese panini, cheese in a jacket potato, cheese with an apple, cheese grated onto plain pasta, cheese cheese cheese.

On a separate and non-cheese note (if there can be such a thing). Got the results from my combined screening back this afternoon. Apprarently its come back as 1:4000, which is pretty low risk apparently, so i'm happy. Now just got to hang out till my 20week abnormality scan!
Off to the docs tomorrow to ask if he can sign me off for a week, as im just run down to nothing from all the throwing up.

    K xx
