  • Hello girls,

I have been lurking for the past few months over on the TTC board and am now lucky enough to say I have had my BFP!

So I am 5+3, so very early days for me! I hope that this doesn't sound like I am rubbing it in for anyone but, I am feeling absolutely fine. Its a little unsettling actually as with my DD I had awful morning sickness from the start. In fact with my first pregnancy it was when I was throwing up that I first thought, 'hmmm, maybe I should do a pregnancy test' ! So apart from the fact that I haven't had AF visit me and the test said positive, I dont really feel pregnant at all. However, my OH is still being a sweetie and looking after me, which I am milking for all its worth! lol!

I am off to see my Dr next week. I am not overly excited about this visit as if its anything like my last pregnancy, its a quick visit. I go in tell him I am pregnant, he asks how I feel, takes my blood pressure then says he will refer me onto the midwife. However it will be nice to get the ball rolling asap! I want my scan before I go on holiday in August!

I do feel excited, but in a different way from my first pregnancy. I feel excited in a 'I can wait' way, which I didn't have with my DD I just wanted her there and then! I am going to try to enjoy this pregnancy for all it's worth as I think it may be my last pregnancy (OH was talking of getting the snip after this one is born :(). So I am not going to wish it away like I did before. Although it feels like a long road ahead I know that it will go very quickly.

So has anyone written their list of things to buy yet? :)

Hi and welcome to the thread!

I have been exactly the same as you, I'm now 9 weeks and have had no symptoms apart from lack of AF and the BFP on a stick :rotfl:

    Morning everyone,

Hi lookingtothefuture welcome to the thread its been a bit quiet of late :)

Am very envious of those of you who have no sickness :( I have it quite bad ! nausea every day and sickness seems to be every other day for some strsnge reason ! Its triggered by smells and such like and not pleasant at all :(

Just keep thinking only four weeks to go til it stops am 8wks +1 today :)

Lists - I havent made one just yet we've just started saving money for bubs ready for when we want to buy stuff were starting from scratch I've got noting left from having my other two so its all gotta be done again am convinced because of the sickness that this baby is a girl ! Anyone else got any feelings about what they are having ?

I too am having trouble sleeping but shattered all the time have been awake on and off since 3am today after having a very vivid dream about being attacked at work !

    Hope everyone is well

    xx

Welcome Lucy, noticed your BFP on the TTC thread

Amanda - Sorry about your morning sickness. Really hope it gets better soon. :)
Hubby thinks a girl for us and I think boy with no logic or anything :rotfl: We're not fussed either way though although we are finding choosing grils names easier than boys.

Have my early scan tonight (7+4 today), so hopefully everything is ok. I won't be able to wind him up any more after today about "maybe it's twins" :D.....
Still feel like the time is dragging on, thought it's nice to see people graduate this thread, as I guess everyone felt that time slowed down when they moved over to the board. Come on February :rotfl:

Hi Lucy!! You can go back a few pages till you find the most up to date list and add your details.

Twigpig - good luck for the scan hun!! Hope it goes really well. Can't wait to hear about it.

I just want end of July to be here now (bloody hell, i'm wishing away summer!!), but I just want to see that baby is well and safe.

Amanda - ooh, not a great dream!!! I feel like i'm living in a dwell at the moment with the lack of sleep. Hope your sickness passes soon.
