Welcome Lucy, noticed your BFP on the TTC thread

Amanda - Sorry about your morning sickness. Really hope it gets better soon. :)
Hubby thinks a girl for us and I think boy with no logic or anything :rotfl: We're not fussed either way though although we are finding choosing grils names easier than boys.

Have my early scan tonight (7+4 today), so hopefully everything is ok. I won't be able to wind him up any more after today about "maybe it's twins" :D.....
Still feel like the time is dragging on, thought it's nice to see people graduate this thread, as I guess everyone felt that time slowed down when they moved over to the board. Come on February :rotfl:

Oh I think I'm very similar to you in that I did the same twins wind up thing :D I also saw that quads programme advertised and did make a joke about that too OH went a nicer shade of pale :rotfl::rotfl:we haven't got any twin pregnancies here atm have we ? I can't recall reading about any but then right now I can't recall much at all

Good luck for the scan chick although I'm sure it will all be fab its very emotional can't wait to hear all about it later you never know there may just be three in there :D:rotfl:

I must admit to being a little worried about having a twin pregnancy! My hubby is an identical twin and so are my older sister's! We both have numerous sets of twins in our family!

I'm just 6 weeks gone, so have a few weeks to wait and see. My hubby is more calm about the twin possibility than I am though!

Welcome to the newbies and congrats!

Welcome to all the new ladies :)

Twigpig girls names are so easy, boys names are really not :( we're having the same problem.

    Another newbie!

Stupid question but does 10+2 mean 10 weeks and 2 days?

I'm nearly 11 weeks and absolutely desperate for my scan which is on the 4th.

I had hoped I would 'glow' but I have never felt so ill in my life!

Only been sick a few times but feel sick almost constantly - my only consolation is it probably means baby is fine!

I will say that the tip for eating a biscuit or cracker BEFORE getting out of bed is a god send! It definitely works for me.

Is anyone else panicking that there will be no heartbeat at the scan? My OH has made me stop taking a pregnancy test every week but it seems like the scan is ages away.

We have a family history of chromosomal abnormalities so we have a higher risk of mc, but I haven't had any bleeding and by god I feel pg! So I'm only really worried about a missed mc.

I just want the scan so I know everythings ok and I can tell people!

I've been so ill I think a lot of people suspect but I don't want to tell people because I don't feel excited yet - I just feel it is all going to be taken away.

Its also hard because a colleague is a few weeks ahead of me and she keeps giving me things to do that she 'can't do' because she is pregnant and saying how awful she feels and I feel pretty awful too! At least she knows her baby is alive!

Sorry to vent in my first post - I'm just finding things really hard.

Welcome Roxalana, yep 10+2 means 10 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I have the exact same fear as you about the scan :o I'm so worried about it :(

    Welcome lookingforthingstobuy

Must admit I've not started making any lists yet. What's on your list? :rotfl:

Ps. Still no morning sickness to report over here. Crossed fingers! :)

Hello! 'Lookingforthingstobuy' I LOVE it! lol! :D

I am a list person, I even have lists for lists (which is very sad I know!). My 'list' for baby buys is actually very short (at the moment!) as DD was born in 2010 so have kept all of her stuff. I plan on getting nappies and infacol, when they are on offer at the supermarket. I have found with DD that T**co own nappies (not value the one up) are the best, followed closely behind by A*di own. DD was 7 lb 12 and I used three packs of newborn nappies before moving up to the next size. I was given two of those packs, one came from Bounty I think. So I wont be going mad. Infacol is for colic, which is very easy to use, much better than gripe water I found. It's around £2.50 but I'll wait until its on offer. Other things on the list are a double buggy and a cotbed (which I'll pick up on e*bay) and new matteresses for the cotbed and moses basket.

When I was pregnant with DD, I wrote a list and stuck to it. I think this really helped to focus me on the essentials rather than being (too!) seduced by all the cute things you can get (but inevitably do not use!).

E*bay and Carboot sales are fantastic sources for baby items. Especially newborn stuff as they grow just so quickly and to be fair they sleep a lot so the clothes etc don't get a lot of wear.

Morning everyone. I'm a newbie to this thread. Am currently 5 weeks and 3 days preg. Had it confirmed yesterday. News still not sunk in yet but i'm getting there:)

Hey Lucy! Congratulations on the BFP! It seems that we are going to have a similiar due date. I am due (hopefully) around the 18th of February 2012.

I am feeling very tired today but am not sure if its down to bean or the fact that DD has two more teeth coming through so I was up with her a 2 am. We then had a teddy bears picnic this morning at PEEP but as my DH forgot that he had the carseat in his car when he left this morning we had to take the bus and then walk the extra (he was very apolygetic though and did come to join us after he had done his jobs and gave us a list home :D bless him ;)). So DD is currently having her nap and I have my feet up with a lovely cuppa!
    Morning everyone,

Hi lookingtothefuture welcome to the thread its been a bit quiet of late :)

Am very envious of those of you who have no sickness :( I have it quite bad ! nausea every day and sickness seems to be every other day for some strsnge reason ! Its triggered by smells and such like and not pleasant at all :(

Just keep thinking only four weeks to go til it stops am 8wks +1 today :)

Lists - I havent made one just yet we've just started saving money for bubs ready for when we want to buy stuff were starting from scratch I've got noting left from having my other two so its all gotta be done again am convinced because of the sickness that this baby is a girl ! Anyone else got any feelings about what they are having ?

I too am having trouble sleeping but shattered all the time have been awake on and off since 3am today after having a very vivid dream about being attacked at work !

    Hope everyone is well

    xx

Still not suffering with morning sickness, so I am convinced that this little bean is a boy. With DD I had terrible morning sickness until 14 weeks... It's not nice, you have my sympathy. Just keep on eating! it really does help. Also ginger and lemon tea helped me, although it doesn't taste great.

    Hope everyone is ok xx
