    Thanks ladies.

We told my PIL at about 5 weeks, when i first started being sick and needing an afternoon nap, just because we go and visit often, so they would have spotted something anyway. My Dad and step mum i told on my birthday, at about 7 weeks, when they took DH and i out for dinner, again, as it would be difficult to explain DH and I both not drinking, and my mum the following weekend, when i managed to get her to come down and visit for the first time since getting the BFP, as i didnt want to tell her over the phone, and wasnt up to the 3 hour drive myself.

I told my two bosses at work around 9 weeks, as i was being so ill, i couldnt manage the full days and had to run off alot to the loo's.

Just came on here for a quick catch up. Some good and bad news on here and thoughts are with emsbet. So cool to see Kira's scan though, I was wondering if I'd see much, and I can't wait for mine on Thursday.
I'm another with few symptoms. I'm guessing that the bloating and growing boobs aren't going to show up on me as I've already got too much belly and DD's! Also been doing too many pregnancy tests, just to make totally sure!!
I have only told my best friend (and DH, obv!) and only her because she kept asking whether me and DH were going to try for kids. Not telling family yet - I'm about 10 weeks but want to hold out. We only got married last month and all the parents were so over-excited, I'm loving having them back to normal for a while. Can't imagine how excited they will get about a grandchild!!

Welcome to the newbies here. It feels like forever to wait when you're only 4-6 weeks, but the time will pass quickly.

Ah, Kira, that's great news, must be so reassuring.

So sorry to hear your news Emsbet.

In terms of who to tell- we have kept it minimal, told my parents and very few people at work on a need to know basis only. If scan goes well we will tell DH's parents and family, then work.

I have my scan tomorrow morning, and must admit I'm feeling increasingly anxious about it. I try to remind myself that I heard the heartbeat at 10 and a half weeks, but last year (almost to the day) we found out at the 12 week scan that things had all gone wrong. It'll be my first time back at that same department and just the thought of the place and the memories it holds for me starts stressing me out. Please keep your fingers crossed for me ladies, I couldn't bear for history to repeat itself :(

Thanks Summerday, it is a huge relief. Not out of the woods yet i know, but its a start.

I'll keep my fingers, toes and everything else crossed for you tomorrow. It must be tough, but keep the PMA. :hugs:

Hey mozzy, nice to have a buddy

Kira, so glad that your scan went well, and that you can share the news with your grandma on Wednesday.

Janine - we've not BD since finding out. Both of us feel a little uncomfortable with it tbh. I said to him maybe after the 12 week scan, but he thinks that might make it worse :rotfl:

    pske_lisa - Congrats and welcome :)

summerday - good luck with your scan tomorrow. Sorry about the memories from last time, you'll be making some lovely new ones tomorrow..... :)

We've not told any of the parents or anyone else yet, and we probably won't until 12 weeks. I don't really drink much anyway, so it should be easy enough to keep it a secret. Midwife booked now for 20th June (home visit), and then we'll wait for the scan date coming through. Almost 6 more weeks to go...... it's going to feel like forever :rotfl:

    Hi!
Summerday - lots and lots of luck for tomorrow! Really hope it all goes well x

Twigpig - great news on your appointment date. Getting anxious for mine now. We actually might be moving at the end of the month, so not sure how that's going to change things.

    Hugs to everyone!

I'm 7 weeks tomorrow! Finally this week I have my first appointment with the doctor, unsure what they'l actually do, refer me to the midwife I'm assuming? Cant believe Ive had to wait 2 weeks to see someone, so annoying. Bought a pregnancy book and a baby name book today when we were out shopping, so exciting :)

Congrats Kira! Must have been so good seeing your wee baby on the screen!
