@nikkiemac - With my DD, I had this at 8 weeks. It started as like 1-2 drops of bright red blood on a tissue when wiped, but then after a few days I had a bit more bright red blood - I was terrifed, they wouldn't see me, so we paid privately and all was fine. The technician said it was probably a bleed from my cervix which can swell up and bleed during early pregnancy. HTH, but if you're still worried, just keep hounding the EPU.
Glad all went well for summerday, yay to all those whohave first appointments / scans booked x0 -
thanks babybump, I feel more normal by the min lol0

Hoorah! I cooked my first proper meal since May last night! Spag bol. And managed to eat the red meat AND keep it down! Its a small win, but damn it feels good!
On the other hand, it was really hard to sleep last night, as my back just felt really achy. Swings and Roundabouts eh!
Summerday, SO pleased your scan was ok. You must be so relieved!
Nikkie, as others have said, a few spots of blood are really really normal in early Pregnancy. If it keeps happening alot, or gets heavier, then get back in touch with the GP, or midwife.
Boredandundecided, congrats on the new EDD. Nice to get some clarity sometimes! I don't think my EDD will move when i get my "official" scan, as pretty sure on OV date and the BD date!
Technically, tomorrow is my last day on this thread before disappearing over to the 12week+ thread. Hope you don't mind if i still lurk on here too!

Well, i'm a bit annoyed. Our landline has been down for around 4-5 days now. Talk Talk have said its a fault with the line outside, and they were trying to fix it. So we can't dial out, and when you call our phone, it just gives the busy signal. So now i'm worried that the midwife has called and left a message or something about my booking in appointment. Because its almost been 2 weeks now since my gp sent off the forms. grrrrrrr
I don't even know who to contact regarding this, because I don't know who my midwife will be from the hospital.DFD February 2012

That must be really annoying. Virgin media do ours, and they are cr*p when there is a fault. Drives us nuts!
Don't worry too much. I saw my GP on the 26th April, and didnt get anything back from the hospital with appointments for over 3 weeks (was told max 2 weeks by GP!). If you are worried, try calling the antenatal unit at the hospital you asked to be referred to, and see if they can tell you anything. I rang my hospital to check it was all ok, and they were fine. It just takes a while to work through the system, and for appointment dates to be made. If you are EDD later than other referals coming in, they will often do the appointment letters in that order.
