It was planned for 5th November so will be quite a size by then and the dress will not fit and its close fitting so can't be altered or hide my bump etc I put me being due late jan but haven't yet had a scan to confirm dates etc.

I dont think we have many other options and are at the mercy of their goodwill tbh but I'm not holding out much hope of them actually having much lol its a shame I really thought the wedding co-ordinators were great and have been really helpful so far but I s'pose how they handle this will be the decider today though they were trying to force me to agree to a wedding march next yr :eek:

Not possible too much stress involved in that and a newborn !

OH is right of course he is I know that I knew it earlier too I think I just wanted my hormone rant :o I think he thinks I'm in a grump now though but I'm not I think it's just a bit disappointing

Poor OH I say bless him he is absolutely brill atm too and he lets me rant when I want too and is looking out for me :) he really is an :A

Anyway I'm over my mad rant for today :rotfl::cool:we'll see what tomorrow brings :o

    xx

Aw, bless your OH, he sounds ace!

I guess one option comes to mind, although probably not what you had in mind originally.

    1) Could you try and book a civil ceremony earlier this year, when bump is smaller, for you and some close family, so you can wear your lovely dress, and "seal the deal" before baby arrives. Maybe have a nice meal as a small group afterwards to celebrate. Then have the big reception for everyone else, on the date of the original do, keeping the good deal, and get to buy a new different dress to accommodate bump. Less stress and less tiring as the wedding bit will be taken care of, and you get to have had two celebrations.

Only a thought! I know a few girls on the forum who did something similar when they had unexpected babies inserted into their plans!

    Evening all! :hello:

Had a phonecall from the midwife at my GP surgery this afternoon, which is quicker than I was expecting, considering I only went to see the doctor yesterday morning! Anyway, upshot is that I've got my booking in appointment a week on Thursday :D

Can't say that I've noticed any change in size of my booobs yet, I get the feeling I'm going to have a completely symptom-less pregnancy and am still going to be doing HPTs every week to set my mind at rest that I *am* actually pregnant :rotfl::rotfl:

Hope everyone else is well :)

Yay, good for you. Still waiting for mine!
Amanda- which scan are you getting from there? Early or date. They've got 1 near us too, but it says £99. Still not too bad though.

I paid for a private scan with my first which I had at 9+5 as I'd had some bleeding (local EPU wouldnt see me which is really rubbish) - it was brilliant as I'd been so worried - I cried a lot with relief to see her there on screen with her little heart beating away. Don't think I'll last 8 weeks waiting for the nhs scan with this one either - early viability scans are £49 at our local place.

I'm still undecided about having a private early scan. I'm just scared that they will do the scan and find something bad, and it wont be a doctor, just a private technician. I guess the reason i'm scared is that my two closest friend around my age have both discovered missed miscarriages when they have gone for their first scan, and i'm terrified i'll be the same. I'm trying to convince myself i'm being dumb, as i've been so sick, i cant see how i can NOT have a beanie in there still, but there is just that doubt.

Just don't know what to do! I'd really love a scan pic to give my nan on her 90th, which is before my official scan, but.......

I personally dont see the point in private early scans or the 3d scans.. I think if you had a bleed etc and it was serious the hospital would scan you anyway (but thats just me)

Wow Mimi - could be a xmas baby!!
Thanks babybump - you're very luck to get it at a cheap price. I've seen one for 50 - but its in Kent, not exactly close.
Kira - i know how you feel. I've had nothing but bloating, tiredness and sore boobs, and actually want some sickness so that I can feel pregnant. I know i'll probably regret that later, but right now, I just feel like a bad pms! I want the scan so badly, but doubt DH will want to pay for the scan when its £99.
