Hi ladies...can i join you? I found out a couple of weeks ago that i'm pregnant - so excited! I'm 8 weeks today. Have been lurking for a while, and i'm glad everyone seems to be experiencing the same symptoms!
I haven't had too much bloating, but feel like i've already put on loads of weight. i normally exercise a lot, but with feeling sick and being so tired, i've not done much over the last couple of weeks!

Had to register with my local surgery when i found out, and got dr apt this afternoon. Had a bit of spotting yesterday so going to mention that today...i know it is normal, but still scary...

Hi elisabeth, and welcome to the thread! You're a week ahead of me, I'm 7 weeks today. Hope all goes well at your doctors appointment this afternoon!

I'm ridiculously bloated today Have been like it for a few days but partly put it down to eating too many carbs after not really eating bread, pasta and potatoes for quite a while. I think it may be a bit responsible but it could also be baby-bloating I think. Don't like it anyway, it's quite uncomfortable!

My sister-in-law surprised me today by sending me a message on facebook saying 'OMG you're preggers, I just know it!'. I replied asking why she thought that (not confirming or denying either way) and she came back saying 'I just know'. I asked her to explain but she just said it would sound weird so she'll tell me next time she sees me, which I think will be Saturday 18th. I don't see her very often, as her and my brother live in Peterborough, and I'm in Nottingham so I don't know what clues she's had, unless my mum has been a bit careless and mentioned something. It's not like I've been splashing it all over facebook or anything! I'm intrigued as to how she thinks she's figured it out! :rotfl:

I got married last September and constantly get asked - 'you pregnant yet?' its hard lying to people - esp close friends, but i just want to get to 12 weeks before i tell people.

Maybe your sister has a crystal ball? or maybe she had a weird dream? or like you say, maybe your mum was too excited and let it slip! My parents are beside themselves with excitment, and dying to tell people - but i sworn them to secrecy (sp?)!

I think she just has a freaky 6th sense about these things - a bit like our very own kira on this board! I've told a handful of people but don't want too many knowing before we get to the scan, until we know everything's (hopefully!) ok! But I'm ok with her knowing I guess, I'm more interested in how she's figured it out seeing as I've only seen her once or twice in the last few weeks, and I've not had any morning sickness yet so it's not like I've been running off to the loo every half an hour while we've been in company!

Oh and we've been getting the 'and when are you guys going to start a family' thing too, and we only got married in January!

4nnabella - i'm also dying to tell people, but are also waiting for the 12 week mark. Still waiting to hear from midwife about when my booking in appointment will be.
argh - just had a ham, tomato and cucumber sandwich, all on brown oaty bread, but now i've got pains in my side. think i may of ate too quickly. Also eating a lot healthier now as of last monday when i first found out. Lots and lots of fruit, and veggies everynight with dinner.

Hello ladies, please can I join in? I'm not a newbie, but some friends know my username. Like most people, I don't plan on telling anyone til after the scan, but I need someone to talk to about it all.:o

I found out I was pregnant on sunday which I think is when I should have got my period, but I can't be sure as I was on the pill until 4 weeks ago. I have a 10 month old DD and was shocked to get preg again so fast as I BF her til she was 8 1/2 months - I didn't think my body would be ready!

I'm hoping this PG goes as smoothly as my last one because I think I'm going to have to be well-rested to have 2 under the age of 2! Had a waterbirth with DD, and planning a home-waterbirth with this one if all goes to plan. That's me. I've added myself to the list below.

Went to my fertility appt as advised by gp (as it was booked weeks ago and only got BFP last week) they congratulated us and just re-assured us that our problems with ttc are irrelevent now that we're pg, and that we have as much chance as anyone else that we'll have a healthy pregnancy, and to relax..... yay, easier said than done :rotfl:.

Have to speak to dr tomorrow to be referred to midwife and will simply be waiting for a scan at 11-12 weeks now all going well. It going to be a long 6 and a half weeks!

Pretty sure that we'll have a private scan at 7-8 weeks as don't think I could wait that long
