Hi emsbet, welcome to the thread :D

Have got my fingers crossed that your bean is a sticky one and all goes well for you :)

I had my GP appointment this morning, he didn't do much, just asked a few questions about mine and OHs family medical history, checked my blood pressure and filled in a form to refer to the practice midwife who'll get in touch for me to go see them fairly soon. Nice to know I'm now in the system :D

Hi all, I got my scan date as 13th June but I'm going to have to reschedule as that's the day I go for the induction for my new job :( I'm going to be 14+ by the time I finally go I think  I've been getting myself in a bit of a tizz as I've gone back to feeling 'normal' again, my energy has come back, I've stopped feeling so nauseous all the time and although I still get tired early it's not like suddenly being hit with exhaustion like it was before. I know this is apparently what happens when you go into your second trimester, but it still feels weird to me and I can't help but worry a little.

On the subject of spots, I've had a couple on my face where I normally don't get any, however I've noticed that my flaky awful skin has cleared up considerably since right at the start of the pregnancy, it must be the hormones. I'm dreading it coming back once I've had the baby though :(

I went with OH to work the other night where he was doing a disco for a 30th birthday. The kids there were all awful, shouting at OH when he was talking to other people and demanding their songs were put on next, screeching at the top of their lungs all night. It made me a little _pale_ but I keep trying to tell myself that it's about upbringing and not all kids are going to be like that!
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

I'm 6 weeks today. Went to the doctors last week and couldn't get an appointment til next Thursday! Annoying me slightly but I guess I'll just have to wait. My skin is awful at the moment really oily and loads of spots appearing and my back is sore, unsure if I've done something to it or not, was moving alot of furniture at the weekend.

    HI

Welcome over here Amanda - know you from trying for a baby! Hugs to you, sure all will be fine. I'm 5wks and 2days. Haven't had much symptoms yet, except very very bloated.
Claire - hi, I know you're much further on than me, but i feel the same way re symptoms. I actually want some more now so that I can at least feel pregnant!! Also worried, but guess I just have to wait until midwife calls for scan :(
Gillyx - hi! Hopefully it was the furniture - maybe just take it easy for now ;)
Keza - Hi!! Good to see you here too!! I hear you on the bloating!! Had it for about a week now, not nice!

    Hugs to everyone!

My bloating stopped late last week so hopefully the same for you, couldn't even get my baggy jeans fastened one day but fine the next, weird.

Hello and welcome to all the familar ladies recently over from the TTC - you'll be pleased to know its a bit calmer and less contreversial over here! And a big welcome too for the ladies who have joined direct without passing TTC!

There is a list a page or two back with names, EDD's and Scan dates, feel free to copy and add yourselves as you get your info- EDDs can be changed so feel free to add your best guess for now!

I'm just back from my booking in with the midwife at the antenatal clinic. Marathon session of form filling and questions, a gazillion blood tests, plus obligatory wee wee in a pot. Bit disappointed they didnt even try to hear bubs with a stethoscope , so still nervously waiting on scan. I've been booked in to see a consultant on the day of my scan as well, as i'm a borderline low/medium risk of preeclampsia being older first timer and over ideal weight. Not too bothered, as i'd prefer to make sure all is well and investigated. Also booked in for 28week GTT to check for gestational diabetes (same reasonas as above).
My BP was a tad higher than usual, but not entirely surprising as the 1 hour journey took 2 hours, and the only parking space i could find in the carpark was in the middle of a 4 cm deep puddle so got soaked feet. Luckily i left with an hour spare, but still only arrived 15 minutes early!

Walked away with an absolute armful of stuff to read, and my homework for the night, is to write my hospital number on every page of my book! (also about a gazillion pages).

    Roll on June 17th!
