Hi ladies, I've finally got the courage to join you. I've been too scared to as had a mc last year, only detected at 12 week scan, and hardly anyone in real life knows so I hope no -one identifies me..

Anyway, I'm 11+1. This thread is so reassuring as I keep reading what the rest of you are experiencing and feel relieved that it's not just me! Like the awful skin and pulling sensations in stomach-last night they wouldn't go way it seemed.

Got letter to say scan is in 2 weeks time, though I keep phoning in hope of a cancellation to get one next week instead. It's so hard hiding it at work when throwing up constantly.

    Hope you're all feeling well.

Hi summerday and welcome to the thread! Sorry to hear of your mc last year, I hope you manage to get a scan sooner rather than later and it sets your mind at rest that everything is ok with this bean!

Hi and welcome summerday. So sorry about your mc, and fingers crossed everything will work out this time. Why we have to wait for 12 weeks until the scan I don't know. Surely it can be done earlier?
I keep thinking - do i feel pregnant? am i still? Wishing these 7 weeks away!!

Does anyone else think they are going mad ????? lol

random question I know but today I have postponed our wedding OH had suggested we may have trouble TTC when we started trying in December thankfully he was wrong but we have now postponed our wedding the venue are saying that we have to do it in 1yrs time and pay more and the special deal we arranged at the time of booking will not stand now !

I am upset by it I mean I obviously knew we were running this risk when we started TTC but I kind of thought they would just allow us to postpone but they are being awkward ! Hmmm

OH is very much just cancel stop stressing you need to for our baby I know he is right but I am annoyed and I know that its all our fault lol I feel so lucky to even be pregnant but I am still angry with them

See what i mean I think I am crazy lol I am blaming hormones !! Anyone else having trouble with them ?

    xx

    Amanda,
I FREQUENTLY think i am going mad!! like managing to miss my first midwife appointment, but putting it in 5 diaries, for a day late. Dur.

Sorry you are postponing your wedding. When was it planned for? When are you due? Are there not any other options? I got married last year, and spend HOURS on a wedding forum where similar problems were discussed, so maybe there are some other ways around it...

Hubby is right though, you do need to TRY and stay cool and calm for little bubs!

Evening to all you lovely ladies.

Just caught up with all the posts i've missed, welcome to all the new faces.

Really fed up now, really bad nausea every day, can't eat any dairy at all as it makes me feel worse, but fruit seems to help, so OH has stocked up on strawberries :D

Waiting for scan date is killing me. With DD, i only found out i was pregnant at 22 weeks ( ) as nothing changed, so finding out at 5 weeks this time is a bit different lol..

Anyway, sending positive vibes to you all... xxx

Im also getting tummy pains, mainly at night when lying down and changing position as if i shift from stomach to side it seems to be a sharp pulling feeling that i get, am going to be looking at buying one of those big long body pillow things next monday.

I had those pains early on too and a few others have mentioned them so I think they must be normal. I found it helped if I took my time turning over in bed.

Bit disappointed they didnt even try to hear bubs with a stethoscope

How far on are you Kira? Baby's heart doesn't start beating until 6/7 weeks, and midwife probably wouldn't be able to find it this early on as baby is tucked quite deep. This is why early scans have to be internal.

I'm 10+5 today, my 12 week is on the 17th. She said she COULD have tried today, but wouldnt bother, what with my scan being only 10 days away. Argh. It might seem like "only" 10 days to her, but i've known i was pG since +4 days, so i've been waiting WEEEEEEKKS. Lol.

I asked about TV scan vs "normal" ultrasound, and she said they usually only do standard ones at that hospital, and will only get the TV out if baby is hiding very deep.

I was really hoping to have some real confirmation all is OK before my grandmas 90th birthday, which is 2 days before my scan, so that i could tell her as a birthday surprise. A scan pic would have been better, but just knowing its there and kicking would have done me. Increasingly tempted to pay for an early scan myself, if i can have it in time. Got my bounty folder today, and a local place to the hospital is doing early PG confirmation scans for £28. Sounds tempting to me.

Just a wee update from me...I finally got a call back from the doctor's today. She was shocked that they'd left me so late for my first appointment, so called them to try to get it pulled forward...with no luck, so still 1st July.

Last week, OH got a bit fed up with me being stressed out with it all, so booked us in for a private scan. Zoom up the road to Perth and for £55 we got the pleasure of seeing the wee blob! All looks fine. :j It's in the right place, and bobbing around quite happily in there. Got to hear the heartbeat...pretty amazing really! We got a few fuzzy pictures and a DVD to take away with us. Anyway, they confirmed my dates - I'm 10+5 now, so not going to be so bad when I go on 1st July for first visit - will 'only' be 14+1!

I've added my date below, as it seems I've been bumped off!
