But now I'm going to be thrown back into full time parenting which I'm not overly excited about. I'm not the most maternal person in the world so I like having time away from it all too.
It's just me being selfish I guess and I know I'll get used to it, but it is on my mind.
Hi yummy, I can see how it would throw you off... I think part of our apprehension is just how much is going to change. We need to pack our goods up here in Oz, ship them back, move into a furnished place for a couple of months, live with parents when we get back, find somewhere to rent when we get back and juggle storage/delivery of goods until then, re-adjust to UK life, work, people and weather - all the while also trying to get our heads around becoming parents for the first time! When actually, we'd expected to spend the rest of this year indulging in being a child-free couple by going on surf and diving weekends....
I'm feeling better about things today after Sunday morning snuggles with OH, but crikey this grown-up malarkey is pretty hard-going sometimes!
Just looking forward to getting the scan done on Tuesday now...
Enjoy your Sundays girlsx

Yippee :j I'm 12 weeks today :j I feel as though I've reached a milestone (even though I'm aware that things can go wrong at any time)!
My sister came round yesterday with lots of baby goodies from hers and my other sister's pregnancies. It's all in really good condition and should save us an absolute fortune. It would be lovely to have new stuff but I'd rather save our money and use it to have as much maternity time off as possible. I really want to take a year but don't know if I'll be able to make my savings stretch that far.
So I got a pram, moses basket, bath seats, car seats, baby gyms, travel cot, neutral newborn clothes, as well as a pile of girls clothes as they have all girls. I'm getting her steriliser and my niece will be finished with the cot by the time bubs is ready to move out of the moses basket.
Hey EDD-buddy - forgot to congrat you on a good scan last week :T
Looks like you've really lucked out with all your freebies - great stuff.
Talking of being date-buddies... I'm apparently 12 weeks tomorrow, and you say you are 12 weeks today yet we've both got the same due date. Not that I'm going to quibble over what is technically only a few hours, but I guess just shows how things can vary eh!0 -

Looks like I'm leaving you ladies already, I woke up this morning with a few spots of blood but it's turned heavy with clots. I'm pretty sure I've lost the baby, even though it wasn't planned I'm heartbroken, I'd started planning for another little one and was getting excited. Good luck to the rest of you xxxxxxx
So sorry to hear that mummy4monsters:( i really hope you will be okay, there is a miscarriage support thread that maybe worth posting on if you want some support and advice. Take care of yourself:o:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

My scan went well on friday, we were so relieved after last time to see little munch moving and to hear his heart beat. They put me three days further on so am now 12+4 and edd is 7th December. We can now get excited and have not stopped grinning stupidly at each other since the scan!!
Best wishes to everyone else xxx0 -

has everyone moved throught he feeling rough stage now? i am still struggling a bit with the tiredness and feeling sick. my mind is quiet motervated to do my uni work, cleaning etc but my body isnt!
I feel a lot better then i did 2 weeks ago but still not back to normal and struggling with drinking again ;-( tea and coffee smells to much,. gone off hot water, dont seem to like juice, milk seems to repeat and be a bit slimy.... and water makes me feel sick??? I have my scan a week today then as long as very things okay with the scan i am going to speak to the doctor of midwife about how i am feeling. I ache all over, starting to wonder if i have a virus or something and just keep blaming the pregnancy? I dunno.
I am 10 weeks ish now when did the sickness pass for others? I have a feeling this wont stop at 3 months either ;-(:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Hi Jenjade, sorry to hear you are still feeling rough.
I can sympathise, my nausea went briefly for 4 days, and then returned. I'm 12 weeks today. My sister had MS until 16 weeks so I'm expecting that too.
I too struggle with drinks, and still struggle with most foods. I've gone off all my favourite meals and I'm struggling for ideas on what to eat. I find I can eat better if I don't have to cook it.
Thankfully the tiredness seems to have worn off a little bit and I am sleeping less, but I am back to work on Tuesday so will probably be shattered again.
Hope you soon feel better0
