Just had my wierdest meal since becoming PG. I've just shelled and eaten a 500g bag of fresh peas, raw, followed by half a pack of sliced pickled beetroot. MMMMmmmmmmmMarried 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

I have a friend who was born on the 27th dec (this one's due date) and she loudly informed me that Christmas birthdays are rubbish because people only get you one present for both and her sisters who had birthdays at other times of year never had that :rotfl:
I can sympathise with that, it used to happen to me, until I started having a September birthday too0 -
My birthday is 26th December and I have NEVER been out on my birthday
I refuse to accept 'joint' presents as that means people are just skinflints and not wanted to buy 2.. wel tough.. because if my irthday was in June you would.. so you can buy me 2 regardless... I won't have birthday presents wrapped in christmas paper either.. and I won't open birthday presents until my christmas presents are all opened.
Yes I am THAT childish.. !!

That's the thing, I don't know the date of my last period, the way I'm figuring it out is that we moved house March 10, conception was a few weeks before that, and I *think* my period was a few weeks before that. That would put me at about 13 weeks but I've never really written down/paid any attention to my dates and things :embarasse That's why I'm hoping for my midwife letter to hurry up so I can get a dating scan booked!
If your birthday is Jan 1st, at least if you're out on NYE with mates at midnight you can carry it over into a birthday celebration? As for Christmas, I think you just have to be extra careful to make an extra effort but so many Christmas birthdays seem to end up being hated by the person! Someone I work with's birthday is February 29th, so she only has one birthday every 4 years :eek:D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0 -

Hey we're birthday twins, and I'm exactly the same as you. I put my foot down years ago, and all my friends and family know they will get a joint birthday and Christmas present on their next birthday if they do it to me, same with the wrapping paper, and as for not being able to find a card, that incurs wrathClaire_Bear wrote: »Someone I work with's birthday is February 29th, so she only has one birthday every 4 years

Hi All,
I am back at work today after two days off and feel absolutely dreadful. Everything makes me want to be sick. I have ginger tea and ginger biscuits but neither seem to help this morning. i have no idea how i made the 2hour train journey. I have never suffered from travel sickness until now, I can't even read the paper as it makes me sick. Anyone have any further suggestions. I will try the travel sickness bands but not sure what else will help.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Hi Kitten Pie, i tried everything ginger and the travel sickness bands but they didn't make much difference for me. It is suggested that eating little and often also helps, but when I had nausea I really couldn't face eating. The only thing that actually worked was a trip to the GP where I was prescribed some anti sickness tablets. The nausea didn't go completely, but it was lessened.
Well I had my scan today and it was a relief ..... to get out of there and go for a wee :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Scan went fine and all seems ok. Baby wasn't moving about so perhaps he was trying to have a nap
I didn't realise that she dug the thingamebob in so far though, there were a couple of moments where I nearly wet myself!
Oh and I was spot on with my dates, I am still 11+4, and EDD is still 11th Dec.0 -
Congratulations Wonder Womble!
I have mine on Tuesday, the letter didn't state that I should drink anything, actually it didn't say much. I think I will assume that I do need to drink and if I am wrong I will get to go the the bathroom earlier. Do you know how much it is? Pretty sure last time I went (many moons ago) I got muddled between pint and litre and had a hard time not exploding.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

My scan appointment was 9.30, although ran a bit late and was approx 9.50am.
I went for my last wee at 8.00am and didn't drink anything else until just before 9am when I drank a pint and a little bit of water.
I was bursting in the waiting room. The more experienced women had arrived with water bottles and were drinking them whilst waiting. I'll know to do that next time!0 -
I'm dreading the full bladder thing! I have about a 60-90 minute drive to get to my appointment, so i dont dare have too much before i leave in case i burst in the car! I guess i'll have to plan to arrive early and drink a load on arrival!
On a separate issue, and 2nd time mums had any experience with post nasal drip? Mine kicked in big style early this week, a big slippery cold slug sitting at the back of my throat (yik!) and its making me feel sick all the time and making me retch, which is making me lose my food more. Obviously i cant take any of the over counter things, but this is so horrible i'm getting a bit desparate as its making it hard to sleep as well. Any one got any tips?Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!
