i have added my due date. i am really hoping for a mix up with the dates i wanna be due earlier. I dont want a xmas day baby! i have a dd aged 9 and oh has 2 sons 9 and 10 that he looks after full time so xmas day could be very challanging.. i dont want to have the baby alone ;-(:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart

My mother was supposed to go into be induced on Christmas Eve when she was expecting me, she refused because she had my brother at home. She went into labour herself on Christmas Day and managed to hold on to me until 2.30am on Boxing Day.
Fingers crossed you won't hit on Christmas Day as that could be a challenge for your family/ childcare!
I'm also a tad worried, my mother and sisters have been laughing because so far my EDD is 11th Dec, if I go 2 weeks over then that would be 25th! I'm hoping for the 13th as baby's birth date would be 13/12/11, although its obviously not important so long as we get through it all ok and bubs is healthy.0 -
Everyone I know who has a birthday around Christmas says it's rubbish so I'm really hoping I don't go over too... Saying that, Christmas is always a right faff for me an OH because we always ended doing the running around seeing our 3 sets of parents (mine are divorced), brothers and god knows who else... I guess this year might be a bit different!
WW - I thought 13/12/11 would be cool or even the EDD of 11/12/11 looks pretty good.0 -
Hoping not to be christmas baby also. Apart from the fact it is Christmas my sisters birthday is on the 23rd and my dh is on 1st Jan with about 6 in between so it is an expensive week and a bit as it is.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Good morning
My due date is now changed slightly to 21st December! Had an early dating scan yesterday, and was suprised to be slightly ahead and not back (was expecting xmas day as my due date!). We are pleased to say everything was ok-saw the tiny heart beating away nicely.
It's feeling more real now! I am hoping to not give birth on the 20th though ideally-as it is my nieces birthday then and i saw the look of shock on her face when we told her yesterday! (she's 6).
Hope everyone is ok. xMommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)0 -
Also not wanting a Christmas baby but I think I should probably be on the other thread by now so think I'm going to be more back end of December/early Jan maybe? But I don't know exactly and am still waiting for my Midwife card to come through the door. Will have to do all my Christmas shopping early or online this year as I can't imagine waddling through those crowds when you're close to popping! I think New Years Eve/day would be a good birthday to haveD'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0

You can use this it will give you an exact due date based on your last period
I have a friend who was born on the 27th dec (this one's due date) and she loudly informed me that Christmas birthdays are rubbish because people only get you one present for both and her sisters who had birthdays at other times of year never had that :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

We've always made an effort to have seperate birthday and christmas and when my sister was little those my mum met while in hospital/antinatal all had a special birthday party in the summer to compensate.
With regards to New years day birthday. My DH hates having his birthday as everything is closed and all friends are partied out because of christmas and NYE. He just feels its a bit of a non-day which is why I try and make it a big day every year. (Theatre trips etc - there are a couple of theatres open)Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500
