Just thought I'd pop in and link this thread from the OS board: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/71893 'Having a baby Old Style', been having a read through and even though it's still early days it's been incredibly informative and helpful :) Definitely worth a look

Seriously since turning pregnant my brain has turned to mush!! I am trying my absolute hardest to get an assignment written and I have no motivation and no inclination to do it at all!! I keep getting distracted with thoughts of prams and baby stuff, as that is what I would much rather be looking at!!! Everything else just seems to pare (sp) into insignificance the only thing that is important to me in my head right now is this baby, and making sure it is ok and preparing for it and caring for it when its here, everything else just seems to take a back seat as Im not the least bit interested in it!!!!! Anyone else like this or is it just me!?

I eventually got a scan/midwife date today after waiting nearly 3 weeks, 31 May so pleased it's in half term week. Visited the school I'll be doing my teaching placement in today and told the teacher, she was lovely and very excited! Think I'll get on OK and hopefully without as much stress as last time.

Had the worst night's sleep ever last night, took an hour to get to sleep (12) then woke up a couple of times, before waking up at 4 and taking nearly another hour to get back to sleep before alarm went off at 7 :-(
Didn't help that I practically (or may actually have) dislocated my knee whilst in the garden. Was squatting down putting a plant in the pot, then stood up and my knee felt all weird (kind of grinding against itself) and in the wrong place, wiggled it around a bit and it sorted itself out but hurt like hell for a couple of seconds! Has been sore at certain angles today so hope I didn't do any damage and it's just a bit bruised.

I'm a nightmare at the moment!

Missy I feel the same way. I'm at work and have literally managed to complete 3 things of my list of about 100. I am distracted by everything, hence being on here!

Ooooh what to do tomorrow as my reward for getting it off tonight, maybe I should wander around john lewis tomorrow and have a nice scone and a cup of tea, or maybe declutter the house hmmmm decisions, thinking of either isnt really getting my assignment done!

Well if you're like me I'm finding it hard to sleep. I'm tired but keep waking up at 4am wide awake ready to face the day!

Good Luck with the assignment, I'm giving up and going home....

Wife is 10+5 dating scan is just over a week away, cant wait. She going for blood tests today (to help with nuchal).

My wife seems to be in the top 'x%' of symptons gained from pregnancy.

She has gone up two bra cup sizes from B/C to an E cup, and her belly has swelled. Everyone thinks she is 4-5 months when shes barely 3 lol. I am rubbing her down with bio oil every night, her belly definately feels 'hard' not squishy like 'fat'.

She swore she could feel something 'tickling' her where baby was.

She eating fine, and MS seems to be getting a bit less, altho still need to bring her breakfast in bed to start her day. She also using pregnancy sickness bands.

Wish my husband was like you! I have never had breakfast in bed from him and would love a rubbing down every night! ;)
