I sent a text meant for my mum to my nan... In it I had been moaning about my nan  and saying I didn't know where she got off having a go at me and doesn't she know I've got enough stress already without that.
She didn't reply, though I did call her later to ask about something else and she apologised, which never EVER happens, and said she hadn't meant to upset me.
Weird eh.
Must be all the holidays softening them all up :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

oh delain, i did that once years ago to a bf telling my friend how he was such a girl being so over sensitive about everything but sent it to him!!! Didn't go down well.
And maybe it is whats softening them up, to be honest think my mother couldnt be arsed to drive all this way! funny aren't they!0 -
Evening Ladies
Hope its ok for me to join you! For the past 18 months I have been ducking in and out of the TTC thread and last Thursday we finally got our BFP! Woo Who! I have stupidly random cycles ranging between 20 days and around 25 days, wih the odd 26, 27, 28 chucked in for good measure! We have estimated that based on a 23 day cycle Im around 5 weeks pregnant, unless any of you more knowledgable peeps can help me work it our more accurately?! My last period was 30th March and I was due again on 22nd April.
Anyhow.....Ive been having weird crampy kinda feelings since before I even knew I had my BFP, kinda like when your period is about to come. I googled this and wasnt overly concerned, until 3am this morning when I was totally crippled with painI havent bled at all and the pain has gone back to the pre period crampy feeling. Went to Early Pregnancy Unit today who gave me a scan, they were only able to see sac (which measured 9.1mm) and said they wouldnt be able to see anything else as its so early. Can anyone please reassure me that this is normal? I have to go back in 2 weeks for another scan. Im not asking for any medical advice, just some reassurance I think
Sorry my first post is so long and drab!!
Linz xoxIts hard to wait around for that something you know may never happen, but its harder to give up when you know its everything you ever wanted.........
People tell me Im going the wrong way..............when its simply a way of my own!0 -
Wow...good luck there delain and missymoo! Maybe people give you a bit of slack when you're knocked up.
Welcome LoopyLinz! We all have experienced those moments of fright, but the EPU is absolutely right that it's not uncommon not to be able to see anything yet (5 week embryo is about the size of a tip of a pen!). 6 weeks is really the earliest I think that you can get see much. When you go back, if you're 7 weeks though, you may even be able to hear/see a heartbeat and you'll feel so relieved! If the worst has already happened, there's nothing you can do change it, so try your best to relax and be positive for any little one(s) that are still in there, hanging on!Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win. - Jonathan Kozol0 -
My last period was 30th March
due date of 6th January!
4weeks and 5 days.. 5 weeks on Wednesday
Will that do for now?
congratulations!
a lot of hospitals won't scan until 6 weeks as it is usual to see nothing until about then.. so a sac is normal!
Re. the pain.. wan't the left side of your tummy was it? Constipation and trapped wind are both very very common and both can cause acute pain.. constipation is usually in the left side of the tummy and wind is usually higher up, either around of above your navel. Crampy periody pain is usual too.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Back to work today after 11 days off
It doesn't help that I feel so nauseous and tiredMy sister gave me her sea bands yesterday and they seem to be helping, but they really grip my wrists and leave horrible red pressure marks
I've got my first midwife appointment tomorrow and I hope I get my scan date as I'm really jealous of those who got their BFP after me and have already got dates :rotfl:0 -
loopylinz congratulations, and as others have said don't worry too much about the pains, I had them really badly at the beginning and was doubled over, but was just my body stretching apparantly.
Another night where I have been awake for most of it, I can handle it at the weekend asI can go back to sleep, but when I have to go to work, and its light by the time I fall back to sleep, I end up really struggling, feel like rubbish and have no idea how Im going to get through the day, is anyone else having trouble sleeping and any advice to help me fall back to sleep rather than be awake for 3 hours?0 -
