  • Oooo have just had the mw on the phone, got my booking appointment on 9th March :D all starting to seem real now!

Re: vitamins I'm just taking folic acid, although my GP suggested I keep taking it all the way through rather than just stopping at 12 weeks. Not sure what else we're supposed to need though?

Pregnancy vitamins are ridiculously overpriced. Folic acid is cheap though. To start I was taking folic acid plus my normal multivit but then noticed it said not suitable during pregnancy on the label. I think it's to do with vit A derived from animal products. So, I would consider buying vegetarian suitable multi vitamins (checking there is no pregnancy warning on there) together with folic acid tablets. BUT, I was told by midwife that as long as you eat 3 sensible balanced meals a day then you're probably getting everything you need apart from the extra folic acid. In my area, they are concerned with folic acid and vits A and C (maybe one other too which I've forgotten) so the midwives give these out for free so you could check if you get them from your midwife.

Oh Bella, fingers crossed everything is ok, from what I've read on here and in my book people do get spotting etc and go on to have perfectly healthy babies so try not to worry too much, getting to your doctor to check it out is probably the best thing you can do. Hope your OH rings soon x

Thankyou :) I have gotten myself in such a state I panicked, I have miscarried before so the thought is always there in the back of my mind, I have spoken to OH he is on his way home from work they are all having a half day so we are gonna decide on a plan of action when he gets home, I have calmed down now just gonna take it easy x

  • Hugs to all experiencing unnerving symptoms... hopefully its just wriggly beans - all my spotting has stopped for now though I do have a lot of discharge (TMI).

Had a tough week with work and real stress on Monday night when I dropped my house keys going out for the evening  - no identifying details but right outside my street so didn't sleep much with worry. Rang police, managing agent, local pub etc with no avail when I receive a phone call from lovely Tesco asking if I'd lost my keys... some nice person found them and seeing the clubcard fob handed them in to their local store where they traced me and arranged a pick-up - tesco 'more trusted than the local police' according to OH

Good day today too as I've finally received payment for selling my wedding dress... got half what we paid so made up :j now we can pay for 1/3 of our new boiler :rotfl:

Anyhoo... lots more work to do before marathon party weekend - we'll see how long it takes people to notice I'm not drinking... DH wants to keep it a secret til the scan but I'm not sure we'll manage this weekend as people are already suspicious.

also got midwife and scan dates in so only 3 1/2 weeks before we see whether there is a bubba in there or not after all
    team yellow :)
Can't wait to meet you now baby!
  • Hope its ok Bella, hopefully OH will be home soon :) nice cuppa and feet up until he gets to you!
