I agree I'm sticking to my guns and having baby in hospital my main concern with that is its in another town now and I worry about getting there in time my last labour went from tiny twinges into full blown agony 4 hours later baby was born, there would have been no way on earth I could have travelled in that much pain, luckily I was already in hospital, my last birth was not pretty, big baby, big tear
Oh well we will cross that bridge later in the year
As for the worrying it doesn't stop like everyone has said what will be will be there is nothing you can do other than try to relax easier said than done i know.
Xx
Eek luckily our hospital is pretty close! Mine was pretty quick really don't want to scare anyone but my friend had her's on the landing. Went to the loo and next thing she was in labour and couldn't move. I think my OH wouldn't be able to cope if that happened. :rotfl:
It was quite a strange experiance after my DS was born I guess I was expecting the room to be crowed after just having a baby but my mum(a midwife but she was just in room with me) went to staff room to say I'd had him & my OH nearly fainted & went outside to get water so it was just me, this baby on my chest & one midwife doing the stichesAn hour later I was on a bed-sofa thing with baby asleep one side in his cot thing and OH asleep other and was bored out of mind & tele was stuck on teleshopping lol.
It was a very boring morning....not what I was expecting after just having a baby. :rotfl:
Sorry to go on :-)
Welcome Sharkeybabe I am 6weeks (I think) as well so hopefully will see you around as its going to be a long 9 months!People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
Morning. I'm in shock, phoned the doctors surgery at 8am this morning and got through on the first attempt (unheard of) then was given an appointment at 8.50. I was then taken at 8.45!!! In and out in 2 mins right enough. Lovely doctor has signed me off for another 2 weeks, my work will be pleased!!
Having a very pukey morning though0 -
Is anyone else just feeling....."meh". Can't be arsed to do anything, got no get up and go and feel like you're going to cry at any second?
Congrats to all the new BFP's
No pregnancy Symptoms here (apart from feeling "Meh"). Just hope everything is ok. Went straight to the Doctors the other day and said I'd like to refer myself for my first appointment. She said they like to do doctors apps first but as It's not my first they just booked it straight awayfirst app is 14th March when I'll be 8 weeks so the scan should be about a month after that I think. hopefully earlier. Will have to check my other 2 photos to see what weeks they were.
What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -

yes I feel 'meh' too. OH is getting annoyed about housework. I'm defintely looking forward to a nap after work - I woke up for an hour at 3 and couldn't go back to sleep until I'd had some toast. I'm also on knicker watch too and my heart pauses a bit even if I see a slight shadow!
I have to chose my place where I want to give birth by my first MW appointment which is Tuesday - I didn't realise i had to make the decision so early. I'm going for a birth centre located in hospital grounds so I can get moved sharpish to an on-site maternity ward if I need to.
Congratulations and welcome Sharkeybabe0 -
Feel dreadful this morning lots of sickness last few days
Got booked in yesterday estimated im 10+5 today, midwife couldnt find a heartbeat with doppler which panicked me a little bit as we had a loss last year at 10+4
Looking forward to getting a scan date should come through post in next few days got bloods to have done next tuesday.
Congrats to all the new BFPSometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

Hi ladies, can I join in please? Got my BFP this morning and I think I'm about 4 weeks but my cycles aren't that regular so I could be a little further along. We hadn't been TTC for very long, so its a bit of a surprise too!
So excited, as is OH, but also slightly terrified! I previously miscarried at about 6 weeks although I didn't know I was pregnant until it happened, so I'm worried that it's going to happen again. Must think positive!
Does anyone know when I should book an appointment with my GP? I know I'm probably a bit too early but it's a nightmare getting an appointment at my local surgery.0 -
Hi, can i join please? I am 7 + 3 days. This will be my 5th baby! I have a 9, 6 and 10 month old all lovely boys!!! I lost my little princess at 26 weeks 7years ago. Bit of a shock when i found out i was expecting again so soon after my last little one! Xxxx0

Hello and welcome to all the new posters!
To all those being/feeling sick, I can recommend trying sea bands, the wrist band things you get for travel sickness. I've had mine on pretty much constantly since Wed morning, and I wouldn't say the nausea has gone completely, but I'm certainly able to function better! I also wear them during the night, and last night got best nights sleep in weeks as I didn't waken with nausea in the middle of the night.
So excited, got my letter through for my scan date, 2 weeks today! Just hoping DH can get time off work to come with me, his work are so stupid about taking any time off, he almost has to get down on his knees to beg for any holidays!
Hugs to those who need them, and hope everyone has a good weekend.0 -
I've read about seabands but they had very mixed reviews. At this point though I'm willing to try anything.
Stupid SIL is trying to get me worried about my work sacking me. Apparently employment law means nothing (I'm a law student but I've got the law wrong) and the whole world is out to get me. I swear she has a screw loose! This is the one who cried because her LO will no longer be the youngest. Save me now!!0
