It doesnt feel real here either. Does anyone know when i need to "book in" ? Im in Wales so first scan is at 12 weeks?? oh and can you have a smear when pregnant or is it not advisable?!
TY all
How far along are you? I had a smear when I was about 4 weeks before I knew. I think (correct me if I'm wrong everyone) that they advise you to wait until the baby is about 6 months as if you get an abnormal result that could be down to hormones or changes in your cervix??
I was desperate to have one as although it has been 3 years since my last test now, I have had treatment in the past so didn't want to ignore anything. Also I wasn't expecting to get pregnant so quickly. Luckily everything was normal so another 3 years for me.0 -
I'm another one feeling exhausted all the time so you all have my sympathy! I've felt this way since about 3 weeks, before I even found out I was pregnant and I'm now 10 weeks. Hopefully the tiredness gets easier in the second trimester!
Had my booking in appointment 2 weeks ago but still haven't had an appointment for my scan0 -
Exhaustion is normal, I could easily sleep 23 hours a day getting up to pee and eat a few times.. I am actually a lot better this time round but I have his a hormone surge today I think as I don't seem to be able to stop blubbering today and I have headache. I am peeing myself right off.
Smears are not advised.

Thought caffeine fixes were not advised either? I've been limiting myself to one weak cup of instant each morning, as I can't break the habit completely, but it's harder than giving up booze!
My emotions are running high at the moment, the hospital have put me on a high dose of insulin to protect the foetus but its making by blood sugar drop to really low levels all the time which is making it impossible to just get on with life as I never know when it's going to happen This is to be expected, I had it throughout my last pregnancy and will proabably have to give up work quite early.0 -
Caffeine is fine unless you are drinking gallons of it.
Also remember chocolate has quite a high level of caffeine in. Amazing the number of pregnant women I have known who religiously avoid tea and coffee but munch on loads of chocolate.
Sorry you are feeling pants an9. Sadly during pregnancy you become a bit secondary to your baby.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
I drink around 40 cups of caffeine rich tea a day.. give it up??.. not a cat in hells chance!!! and I have several sugars in each one lol. Oh good I don't feel as bad for having 3 cups of tea now! Need a little bit of a boost to keep me awake!
Bluergh feeling rather queasy today, wanted to vomit all over my work colleagues. Was driving home from work heaving. Thankfully no actual vomit yet, just heaving and watery mouth. Strangely feel ok in the morning it seems to come on in the afternoons.
Picked up my booklet from the clinic to fill in before my first mw appointment.
Hope everyone is doing well!0 -
I have just gone and done possibly the least money saving thing ever. I think I've been filling my head with too many negative things, as I got really anxious about needing to see the embryo and make sure it wasn't ectopic/blighted ovum, so I just had a scan and it's all good! Saw a yolk sac and tiny foetal pole, which is all you get at this stage, it's too early for a heart/beat. I feel a little more reassured now. She said I'm measuring 5+4 so i'm a little off where I thought I was (6w) but that makes sense now based on when I think I ovulated.
It was an extravagant spend of money I admit but I had to do it - I feel relieved now that there is something there, that should see me through to my nhs scan next week where hopefully there will be hb.
Thanks MV - feel less pants now I've had that scan and seen 'speck' as I'm calling it, as that's all it was - but the main thing is it was there!0 -
sometimes an9i you've gotta take the plunge and end the worrying. I hope you feel lots better for it - you sound like it!
sorry to hear you are low in energy NoAngel, Welsh cosmic and Pigpen.
I told one more person today, she knew I was planning on trying so she asked and I told cos I'm an awful liar! It's nice being able to talk to someone about it. She said she suffered from fatigue with her pregnancy and it hit her early on but no nausea. Everyone is soo different!0 -
Congrats on the scan ani!
MV sorry your appointment wasnt great, when is your scan scheduled?
@rumfeeble good luck at your scan tomorrow
Hope all are well x x x x0
