    Afternoon ladies!
I saw the mw yesterday - she was lovely and gave me loads of info. DH was funny - the mw asked if we'd thought about where we're having the LO and he pipes up immediately with the name of the hospital (even though we hadn't discussed it!)!! I think he's trying to be super-involved. Muppet.

I've had horrid, scary and very painful cramps today. At one point I was nearly in tears. They weren't sharp, but really strong and painful AF type cramps. I haven't ever really felt anything like them before. I also had a sensation of something dropping, in a slow and excruciating way. Does that make sense? It was quite terrifying, but I haven't had any bleeding and the cramps eased off at lunchtime.

Step MIL is a retired MW, so I can always call her if I need to. Had visions of the m-word happening at work and having to be carted off by DH at lunchtime!

    Hope everyone's well!

Sorry not read back yet, I've been dying to tell you all day but don't have access at work...

After an absolutely terrifying week leading up to my scan (in terms of freaking out that I might be imagining the whole thing), there is a baby inside there!!! Such a huge relief :)

I've been dated 12th August which makes me 12+4 today instead of 12 weeks. Not sure if they'll change it on my book. They never did last time.

The only other thing is I have a cyst on my ovary. He said nothing to worry about really, but a little larger than they would like :s He said the consultant who I'm seeing in 4 weeks time about the PPH will talk about it then. Now I'm going to google cysts and probably freak myself out...

Is this only a problem if you want more kids? Just wondering why is it a problem in the pregnancy, if the egg has already been released.

Hi how many weeks are you? I had really horrible scary cramps in my first pregnancy, and was convinced i was m/c but it was just my womb rearranging itself. I think cramps on their own are normal, its cramps with blood which is bad news.

    Hi MV

I am pleased to see you on this thread. My little boy was born 11 weeks ago he is adorable and I am very much in love.

The journey to having him was hell losing three babies on the way.

Then I was very ill in pregnancy But it was so worth it i am thrilled to bits with my lovely baby boy.

    Best wishes

Hi Penny I am so glad you got there in the end! You must have had a terrible time with the first three pregnancies but it's good to hear you had a successful one on number four. Enjoy the early months, I think when I had my son they were my favourite time, although to be honest it's all very lovely whatever age they are.
  • Giz, fabulous news about your scan :j

Glad all is well and you've been put forward.

An9 - I've been dated as 6 weeks today. I'm glad they've gone, and everything I've read implies that they're normal, but boy were they scary!

Giz great news!!! Stop googling!! I'm sure they'll get everything sorted for you xx

It's a problem if they need to remove it - they might remove it halfway through pregnancy which has it's risks. But I'm also getting feedback that a lot of people had them and by the next scan they disappeared. So fingers crossed. It just bothered me when he said "It's larger than we'd like" just making me think it might not disappear and maybe it will need removing :(

MV I was absolutely dreading mine. I can't tell you how ill I've made myself this week with worry. Honestly I have worried a million times more than the first time around.

Am I the only one that doesn't want to be put forward?!! I always see posts on other forums about people excited to have been put forward a whole week. The way I look at it is if they change my dates then I have 4 less days to have a baby naturally.
