The private scan went well and dated me a few days ahead of what I thought. Feel quite reassured now though it's still early days.
Also had my 12 week scan appointment through in the post today. I'm seriously impressed as I only had my booking appointment four days ago.0 -
Welcome Nicp60!

Evening all! And welcome to all the new joiners - congratulations
Just over 10 weeks now & still feeling nauseous on and off, although thankfully no actual sickness. The tiredness hits me in waves too - but sometimes I just feel totally normal which is actually even weirder! Got my scan in just under 2 weeks - I think only then will it feel really real!!
We haven't told a single person yet - as we wanted to have scan first... but oddly I think I may have to tell my boss next week - so before my family!! Which feels really odd - but there are some changes occurring at work that I think this will impact after next week & I so am trying to be responsible about things...
Still trying to work out if that is the right thing to do..... my boss is amazing & we are quite close anyway... But him knowing before my family, does feel a bit off!0 -
ktb - I'm thinking of telling my boss tomorrow. I know it's so early, but I was assaulted today by a student (I work in a 6th form), and DH is getting very over protective and wants me to say something. To be fair, all he did was throw his keys at me, which normally I wouldn't be too bothered about, but they hit me in the boob and I nearly doubled over in pain!!
So much for no symptoms!
ETA - Got my booking in appt today! yay!Fritterati Challenge for 2013:

......but I was assaulted today....
:eek:god if assault was an issue nicp60 I would definitely have to something! I agree with your DH - self preservation is key! Have you told anyone else yet?? Mine is only a re-org & head count stuff, but decisions have been made that could leave my boss in the watsit if I'm stepping out of the business in July... He has been so good to me, I feel he deserves to courtesy of knowing whilst he is able to change things.
Enjoy your booking in apt - there are LOTS of questions!!0 -
Welcome to Nicp60, hope you are ok after all that at work! And hugs to anyone that needs them.
Well, that's exactly one week since our BFP, in someways it has flown past and in others it has dragged soooooooo much. Can't wait until we have our scan and can tell people. Although in the past few days, we've ended up telling my sister, DHs sister and my boss!
Looking forward to a quiet weekend (missing my Friday glass of wine though lol), and back to work on Monday...but only til lunchtime and then I have my booking in appointment with midwife!0 -
Evening all! It's the weekend :j
I had my flu jab tonight and OUCH it hurtBaby Giz born 6/2/110 -
I had my booking in appointment today so first rung on the ladder for me.
I will have more scans and appointments due to my several miscarriages, so good to know I will be well looked after.
The MW also told me that I have to take things easy. I took great joy in relaying that message onto OH (who is now cooking dinner)Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
