  • All went well at scan today! Huge relief given my history. I am 11+1 and due 14th August but as baby is 2 days too young, I have to go back for Nuchal Scan on Tuesday.... and they're gonna leave doing my bloods til then too so a small reprieve on that front.

We're going to tell DD tonight - she's 13 and I think it will go down badly but she might surprise us!

I don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to keep my pregnancy quiet at work as my stomach is really round already! I know a lot of it is probably bloat, but having had a baby before, apparently it's normal to show earlier.

OMG tell me about it. When I catch myself in a mirror I get quite shocked. I looked back at my bump photos from last time and from 8 weeks this time I look like I did at 14 weeks I think. 12 weeks last time I thought I had a bump - I now look at it and laugh at how skinny I was!

Yeah, pretty much Giz... we had a grown up weekend away the 1st weekend in December and I reckon that's when the deed was done - it's a good job we enjoyed that weekend away cos I think it'll the last one we'll be having for a LONG time!
  • Congrats on your scan In_shock :)

Giz - I;m having to sit at work with my flies undone! It's most undignified!:rotfl:

:rotfl: I've not gone as far as the flies yet! I'm having to safety pin the top flap on my trousers cos I can't do the button up anymore. Been doing that for 3 weeks now :s I'm desperate for some maternity trousers but want to wait for the scan. I've been wearing my old maternity jeans out and about and comfy joggers the second I'm in the house :)

I am absolutely exhausted today. I had to helped out in an exam today and much to my disappointment none of the teachers/invigilators sat down so was on my feet the whole time. Was a real struggle. Definitely look forward to looking properly pregnant so I don't feel guilty about the need to sit occasionally :)

    Hello everyone,
I hope you don't mind if I join you? I just got my BFP this evening and am in absolute shock! It was only our 2nd month of TTC, although I was pretty darn militant about it!!
I have zero symptoms apart from some AF-style cramps.

In all honesty I thought it would take us 12 months + to conceive (variety of issues), so now I'm panicking and thinking 'I'm not ready!!!!'.
I know I am logically, I'm just freaking out!

Congrats on the scan inshock and welcome nicp60

Hugs to all who are struggling with sickness/ exhaustion.

Hope everyone is doing well, AFM I am doing okay tired but okay. I am counting down the days to my scan only 5 days to go. I swing between nerves and excitement tbh.
  • nicp60 that is exactly how i feel.

I am so tired at the moment and heaving in a bag on the way to work does not make for a dignified start to the day.

booked my first midwife appointment for feb 13th which is my 10 week mark.

Congratulations on the scan inshock x
