Shes been prescribed clexane and low dose aspirin to try and not have the same problems as last time (clotting in the placenta)
Is clexane the one you have to inject daily? I know someone who had to have that (two healthy little girls have since been born tot her!).
Hope all goes well for you at the scan and you're not the only guy on here - there's SplanK too :)

Wishing you lots of luck for today MrsJ. The first 12 week scan is really special :) xxx

Thanks so much :) I am supposed to be working until 2.30 but finding it very difficult to concentrate and clock watching a lot!

Welcome Fatman! We have another Dad somewhere on the thread here too so you're not alone.

Thanks for the advice everyone about chasing my referral - I called the hospital today and they have had it since the 15th - they just haven't done anything about it. She said I should hear something within a week or so. So yeah - they just seem to be slow in my area of the country! Slightly annoying, but hey ho.

A friend of mine has guessed I am pregnant she said it is because I have been so ill and because I said not to get my any clothes for Xmas and also because I haven't been drinking my usual mammoth amount of tea! Lol! So I just had to say to her that she knows I can't tell her yet and we don't want to jinx anything at this stage etc. and just told her to keep it under her hat until we announce it in a few weeks time. I knew someone would figure it out before we were ready to tell!

So I guess now I just need to wait until I hear from the hospital............bored of waiting already! Haha! :) So jealous of those getting scans this week. Another three weeks to wait for me!
  • I've probably got 2-3 weeks wait for my scan too lovecake so we'll be here together with the newbies :)

Just popping in to say all went well at the scan....it was amazing:j There's a real baby in there!

They've dated me as 11+2 which is exactly what I thought I was so am pleased about that.

Can't quite believe it, it was so overwhelming!

Yay for great scan news mrsj :D

Getting quite excited about mine now, only got to wait til tomorrow morning. I do hope there's a good healthy bean in there and it's not just a bad case of wind!

In reality it's all a bit of a guess, and you could be wrong about your dates (not saying you are, but the next person maybe), thus giving advise at wrong times so they will use set markers they are happy with. The 12 week date is since last due date, and 11+3 is the current size - could be that oh ovulated 1 week later than the 'average' 2 weeks in.

Saying that its not unknown for slow starters to catch up and speed past the last due on date so! Will see if ours has a growth spurt next week!

Yeah it just seems weird if there's a chance they might have to send you back again if you're not far along enough with costs, waiting lists etc. Especially when the ovulating on day 14 thing is just a textbook cycle that in reality doesn't happen for most women. So you'd think if you are sure they'd go from that- I'd be quite happy to show them my fertility friend chart with positive opk, temp rise - oh and the fact I didn't even have s&x the week before lol! It makes me wonder what they'd do if you ovulated later because you could be weeks out- day 20 for me was one if my shortest ever cycles.
