Love cake, I've been sick for just over two weeks and it is exhausting. My mum had it til 16 weeks and the thought if that makes me feel pretty down so I'm trying to stay positive and think of the end result!! It is really hard tho, I've thrown up with the bands on so already given up on those, I find nothing really helps to he honest, if im going to be sick there's nothing stopping it!0

Splank - :j for the scan going well. I think I will be 11+3 when we go for the scan tomorrow (NHS has dated me as 12+3) so it'll be interesting to see if we have to go back!!
Teaandcupcakes - I had very bad headaches early on, make sure you are drinking enough fluids as I know dehydration can cause the headaches.
lovecake - I agree, chase that referral!
Scan tomorrow, I am still equally excited and nervous... I probably won't sleep tonight, I feel like I'm a kid and it's Christmas tomorrow!0 -
Hmm that's interesting because I know I ovulated on day 20 so if I get a scan bang on 12 weeks I know that really I am 11 -but I did tell the dr this. Although I may not get it that soon I guess anyway but it does make me wonder why they don't go from ovulation dates if you know it, if you have to go back a second time if the baby is too small!
In reality it's all a bit of a guess, and you could be wrong about your dates (not saying you are, but the next person maybe), thus giving advise at wrong times so they will use set markers they are happy with. The 12 week date is since last due date, and 11+3 is the current size - could be that oh ovulated 1 week later than the 'average' 2 weeks in.
Saying that its not unknown for slow starters to catch up and speed past the last due on date so! Will see if ours has a growth spurt next week!0 -
Good luck with your scan today, mrsj. You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0

Hope its ok that I post here instead of the GF as its not me thats actually pregnant!
Shes currently ~8 weeks pregnant and has had a scan due to previous late miscarriage (21 wks) early this year. All looks fine at the moment, but too early to see any issues.
Shes been prescribed clexane and low dose aspirin to try and not have the same problems as last time (clotting in the placenta)
Needless to say we are a little nervous about the whole situation, have the booking appt in just over a week and then id guess regular scans from then.
Fingers crossed.0 -

I'm curious to see the duration of pregnancy for those who know conception date as they will count you as 'full term' anytime from 37-42 weeks (!) - bit of a vested interest at the moment as I'm 40+2... (their dates)0 -

Even more bizarre to see how much movement there was that I couldn't feel at all!
