Hi all, 8 weeks tomorrow for me. I was sick yesterday and had nausea about 3 times today, that's it. Im not sure whether to be worried or not! I certainly don't seem to be having it as bad as everyone else. My Dr didn't tell me about the whooping cough jab? When are you supposed to get it?Mum of 2 :j0
-
Whooping cough vaccine is near the end of pregnancy as the idea is the baby gets the antibodies through your placenta to see them through until they have their own jabs. I think the best time was 28-32 weeks.

Oh no! Poor you mrsj! Sometimes I think I would rather be sick than feel the way I do all day
I'm really suffering with the nausea at the moment.!!
I want to be sick too (although have a bit of a phobia about it)! 10 weeks tomorrow and still just hard-core nausea!:( It will probably be building up inside me somehow and I will realise it all at once like those scenes in "Little Britain"! Projectile vomit:eek: SavageHK - thankyou for the advice on the bucket!!! Haha! Can you imagine what someone would be thinking if they got into your car seeing a bucket with a bag in it without knowing that you were pregnant!!! Might try that for a laugh!
I am hoping it won't last 9 months - I am already beside myself waking up with it several times a night! I ate 2 bags of crisps in front of someone today whilst in the middle of a nausea episode - I'm sure they must have been thinking what a pig!!!!:rotfl:0 -
Morning!
Well I know I will probably jinx it, but I had a pretty good sleep last night and didn't wake up feeling sick! :jI also didn't feel too bad this morning so I am enjoying a rare day of not feeling like I am severely hungover! Lol!
I'm still unbelievably tired though! But hey ho - you can't have it all!
IHateDida - I am worried that everyone at work thinks I'm a pig too as I've been munching away at my desk all day for the past 2 weeks now! :rotfl:
Hope everyone else is feeling ok today! x0 -
Hello everyone!
I can't believe that I will be 11 weeks tomorrow. The past six weeks have passed by in a blur of [STRIKE]all day[/STRIKE] morning sickness and extreme tiredness!
I have had my midwife appointments and they weren't anything to write home about but I have my scan next week
My flu jab wasn't happy with destroying my arm (the swelling is *finally* going down now) as I now have the sniffles.
I'm going off ready salted crisps and onto ice lollies. Oh nom nom nom!0 -
Anyone craving Ribena? That's my latest one and tomato soup but only Heinz, very odd. Started having the odd bits of sickness, not too bad but feel very queasy for most of the day.0
-
Ribena? Nope...:rotfl:It's funny what it does to you though isn't it?
So far I love - white bread, salt and vinegar crisps, ruby breakfast juice, satsumas and granny smith apples
I have also started a list of smells that make me feel sick: cigarette smoke, green tea, tropical juice, cheese and strong aftershave.
I am still feeling sick pretty much all day at the moment (7+2). Still managing to not actually be sick though. I'm finding it really draining
TFI Friday!! Hope everyone has a good day!0 -
Morning All
How is everyone?
Cant believe i hit double figures tomorrow - 10 weeks! i have my MW appointment on Tuesday and then the scan the following week!. We have told no -one! so i cant wait to see the look on our parents face to say - guess whatits funny everyone is planning things for next year (big birthdays in my family) and im just going along with it.... little do they know eh!
As sad as i sounds we have been thinking about baby names.... not taking it too seriously but its actually occured to me that there are very limited boys names that i like... hmmm. I have middle names for either team blue or Team pink though:)
Not really had much more in the way of symptoms other than between 2-4 in the afternoon i am so tired and so useless and i have been getting small pains. - nothing to wory about though just the body changing, i guess.
Anyway hope everyone has a lovely weekendxx

tea - did you go straight to the midwife or to the GP first? If you did go to the GP how long after did you get a letter about your MW appointment? I went to GP a week past Wednesday and just wondering when I should expect to hear about my appointment. I really need to put time off in the diary at work as soon as possible so I'm worried it will be short notice...
Thanks!0 -
 morning everybody!
Hmm, Ribena, I wasn't craving it at all but now I would really like some!
Saw the midwife on Wednesday for first appointment - she was lovely! Went through lots of paperwork and she took some blood. She's referred me to the hospital for the scan so I am waiting impatiently now for the letter to come through the door with a date!
teaandcupcakes I think I'll be about 10 weeks too on Sunday, can't wait to be double figures! But going by LMP I'm actually 11 weeks on Sunday so I'm hoping that means the scan date will be soonerWe promised we wouldn't talk about names until after the scan, but I'm the same as you, can think of loads of nice girls names, but hardly any boys names!
lovecake - I'm the same as you, worried about being able to book time off work at short notice. I've decided that if it is very short notice and work are funny about me taking the time off, I'll have to tell them why. I don't want to say anything until I know all is ok at the scan, but obviously getting the time off is essential, so if I have to say something I will!
I was sick quite a lot on Wednesday but then nothing yesterday or this morning, although still pretty nauseous (I always want to say that word with an American accent.....no idea why....) and very tired.
Have a good day everybody!0
