All confused now...going to call nhs direct before I go in tomorrow for the jab, may cancel it and just have it at 28 weeks instead..We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Thanks everyone for your comments re: the nuchal scan. I think I'll go ahead and get the measurement done to assess the risk, but I won't have any further tests if it's high. For me, I'd rather have this knowledge so that I can prepare myself, friends and family before they're born.
At my first GP appointment I was told not to get the flu jab until I'm 12 weeks. The midwife didn't mention it at all, and I completely forgot to ask her if that was right. I think there's a lot of confused NHS staff out there with regards the jabs!
Sorry to those feeling nauseous or being sick. It's silly, but I find it reassuring when I feel like that, and then start to worry when I don't!0 -

I am exactly the same, I think most of us are! It's horrible feeling so unwell all the time, but very reassuring! I'm just hoping it won't last the whole pregnancy and am holding onto the hope that it might pass after the first trimester!0 -
When did everyone get in touch with the midwife ? This may sound silly but I'm scared to :-( last time I had my booking in appointment on Friday (9 weeks) and my miscarriage started on the Saturday ... I am taking all the relevant vitamins etc would I be causing any problems I wait u til after I was say 9 week ?
Please dont think I'm irresponsible I just am so scared to tempt fate0 -

Definitely not irresponsible and I totally understand! I've got my first appt this week and I'm somewhere between 9 and 10 weeks. I'd try and get seen by 10 weeks so that you can get your scan booked in for around the 12 week mark.0 -

My goodness.....so am I!!!! :rotfl:I even counted down the days last night to my other half until I am 12 weeks....(16 days...!) - but I bet I am one of those that have it throughout....!(I know I should be thankful for morning/lunch/evening nausea too - but boy does it make you feel groggy!). I am still suffering with terrible bloat which makes me worry a little - as most peoples seem to have passed by now....:(

Last time as I was an "older mum" they said they would book me to be seen for my scan at 12 weeks as that is the best time for nucal scan so I'm
Hoping it will be the same again .... X0
