    :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T to lazywife!!!!!

Just popped on to see how everyone was doing - have just been back in hospital overnight on a drip again due to the hyperemesis - blinking tablets seem to have stopped working grrrrr They have increased my dose so fingers crossed that works for a while :) I can now sip water again - yey!!!!

Big hugs to lemonmelon - glad you are ok - it is scary how quick you can dehydrate but glad you are feeling so much better xx

Well done again to lazywife and thank you - I will be off soon as I should not officially be here anymore - feel like a naughty gatecrasher  It does get easier with the date thing - I was still counting on my fingers on the last list I did... and I still made mistakes :rotfl:

Welcome to all the new ladies and hope all the more permanent ladies are feeling well?

Tinks fingers crossed and sending back some of our shared positive sticky baby vibes to you xxxxx

    Hi everyone

I am still in shock - just found out that I am pregnant today (4 weeks) - and we'd only been trying a month:eek:! I am in my late 30s with POS so I didn't think I would have much chance - if all goes ok, it will be my first.

Can I join in please? I know absolutely nothing about pregnancy although I have been taking seven seas planning to get pregnant vitamins.

I guess I need to book to see the doctor soon - will a nurse do to confirm pregnancy or do I need to see the doctor? I have done 2 tests and they were both positive! TBH I am quite scared of everything and still in shock.....:o What comes next?

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm in my mid 30s and thought that it would never happen to me. I'm five weeks though and am going to the doctors in the week. I haven't got a clue what to do or how to take care of a baby. I'm just tired at the mo and constantly need to pee.

  • Good morning ladies, welcome IHateDida, snozberry and trina, lovely to see some new faces :) massive congratulations to you all!

To be honest its a bit of an anti-climax at the docs, most wont confirm it as a home pregnancy test is pretty accurate and will just refer you to be seen by a midwife between 8 and 11ish weeks. In some areas you can self refer so if you don't want the hassle of another appointment it might be quicker to just give your midwifes a call direct. It does depend on where you live and if you've got any other medical concerns that you need to talk through with your doctor. I'd expect to be in and out in a few minutes though and sometimes they don't remember to say congrats :( Not trying to be harsh but sometimes its good to be forewarned I was hoping for bells and whistles and something a little more official!

Big big congratulations from me though , wishing you very very happy pregnancies :D

home from hospital for me now, never been so glad to see a piece of dry toast and my own bed. Hope everyone else is feeling sparkly and well and glowing!

Tinks still sending thoughts and prayers for tomorrow. let us know how it goes love x

Thankyou very much for the advice lemonmelon! I won't rush to see the doctors then.....! But how do I get hold of a midwife without a doctor? (I am clueless...:p). Hope you are feeling better :)

Haha! I'm glad I'm not the only one then! I have never even changed a nappy in my life! :o

I just have a bit of belly cramp at the moment - I thought I was coming on...but then it never arrived so I did a test and then another...and it shocked me....so quickly....I have friends that have taken 3+ years in their 20's and early 30s....:eek: I always thought the word pregnant was for other people!!!! I am hoping this thread and the support of others will help me x
