    Hello

Had my booking in appt today. Really lovely mw. and got my scan date for 23rd Oct when i will be 12+5

Does anyone find it strange no one has confirmed the pregnancy yet? I still feel a bit of a fraud expecting to turn up and them scan my belly and find nothing.

I have a little bump starting to poke out but it might be bloat and not baby. Wearing my big school fleece all day around work to disguise anything.
  • Good evening all. Lizzie, so sorry to hear your news, take care of yourself. Great news Tink, it must be a weight off your mind. Congratulations Mogwai, it's more of a shock when you're really not expecting it. I was the same.
Well, i had my scan on Monday because of all the bleeding and apparently all is well. A good strong heartbeat, my dates are right and no indication as to what caused all the bleeding. OH's face was a picture. :-) I'm just now feeling exceptionally tired and its becoming increasingly difficult to keep it from my girls. We will need to tell them at some point. I am also still feeling very overwhelmed about it all. Frightened of more responsibilty etc. I'm sure it's just hormones but it is unsettling. I don't even like admitting I feel like this. I never had it before.
Hope others are starting to feel a bit better or at least have lovely Oh's taking care of you. X
All the best for tomorrow Chonorla.

tinks, its great having a lovely midwife., do u keep the same midwife all the way through your pregnancy??

Yes but I will also be under the hospital consultant as I had severe SPD & pre eclampsia with DD2. :o
If you can think it........it will happen

ETA: this appointment with mw is the booking in appointment not for a scan (though I don’t know if she will do a scan/listen tomorrow)
I doubt either, so don't get your hopes up - a scan will need to be done in hospital by the sonographer, and I think it's pretty early on to try listen to the heartbeat (I think it's possible, but it's also difficult depending how baby is lying early on, so they wouldn't want to freak you out if they couldn't find it). I didn't get listened to until 25 weeks I think, although I know others have had the heartbeat listened to at the 16 week appointment.
My booking in appointment was blood tests, filling in lots of paper work, calculating BMI, blood pressure, etc. No one showed any interest in bump until 25 weeks aside from the sonographer at the two scans at 12 and 20 weeks.

Lazywife - yes tomorrow is the day. Am scared and just hoping the bleeds around the baby have disappeared or at least shrunk. Hopefully there will not be more like last time.....:(

    Congratulations Mogwai!! And welcome xx

Thanks all - I just did another POAS (as you do) on a digital I had and it came up with 2-3 weeks.

I told DH and he was sooo happy, gave me a bear hug and then said 'i told you so' about being more relaxed about ttc..

Still not much in the way of symptoms except feeling really tired in the mornings and evenings, and having headaches which I dont normally have. I hope this is all for the next few weeks til I get back from hol

Just wanted to pick ur brains about something - has anyone had a 6 week scan? I am thinking of asking my doc for one when I see her or getting a private one done - reason being I am going away for 2.5weeks to a place where medical care is minimal and I want to know that everything is ok.

Im prob being hypochondriac but I want to rule out ectopic, as my aunt had one last month and she had emergency surgery done, which would be difficult where Im going.
We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic. ;)

    Debt at LBM (Sep 07): £13,500. Current debt: [STRIKE]£680[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£480[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£560[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£13[/STRIKE] £0 overdraft :D
Current aims - to start building up savings
    1st £1000 in 100 days - £1178.03 :D 2nd £1053.38/£1000 :D 3rd £863.59/£1000 :o

I had an early scan on Tuesday private one. Got to see the heartbeat & sac etc etc. Not a lot to see but good to see the heartbeat.
