Haha! Luckily its just in the daytime at the moment (Im nearly 8 weeks) so I still get my full nights sleep!
Does anyone know when I should get my booking in appointment? I went to the doctors last monday and he filled in form to pass to the midwife but I thought I would have heard from the midwife by now (they are in the same building so its not as if it could have got lost/delayed in the post!).
I appreciate that they are not in any rush and they deal with this sort of thing every day blah, blah, blah but its my first baby and I don’t deal with this sort of thing every day!!!! I just want to make sure that everything is going fine, that Im taking all the right supplements and I’ve cut out all the stuff I should cut out, and to find out my next appointment details etc!!
Im so impatient!!!!0 -
My booking in appointment was at 10 weeks, they sent me a thingy in the post to go online to pick my own appointment slot. I was also getting worried that I hadn't heard anything and did chase up the midwives (who hadn't received anything at that point) and then got the docs to resend. It was over Easter so might have delayed things but I think the doctor just didn't send them off for a good few days! No problem phoning to check they have got your paperwork though0

Morning everyone, seems all are well, good luck to those with scans today,I'm sure there's a couple of you but names escape me!
I'm still bleeding but done another test this morning still saying pregnant 1-2 weeks.so I'm off to the docs at 12 to see if I can find out what the hell is going on.fully expecting him to tell me there is no baby and never was.but surely two tests can't be wrong can they?
Love to all xxx0 -
seems like all surgery's do it differently. I saw my gp at 4 weeks he said to make a MW appointment at 8 weeks all booked in & see her on Wednesday .If you can think it........it will happen0

Really sorry to hear of your losses tinkwings, I'll have my fingers crossed for you tomorrow.
I have made my booking in appointment for 16th, when I will be 8+4. The midwife is lovely and sympathetic, so I will throw myself at her mercy and see what she says. it's impossible to get an appointment with a gp at our surgery anyway, and I've never actually seen a doctor there, so I'll hang on for the MW.0 -
it took me ages to get an appointment with my doctors! they have a stupid system where if you want to see the doctor in the afternoon you have to call that morning and if you want a morning appointment you have to call the afternoon before! I often wondered why I could never get an appointment for when I wanted one even though I called the second the surgery opened – turns out that one of the receptionists will make bookings in advance for some people (usually the elderly). While I think this is fine and dandy I think its bloody stupid for them to book the first/last appointment slots of the day! I work full time and don’t drive so if I go in the middle of the day it’s a good 2 hours as I will be expected to go back to work afterwards.
Grrrrrrr…. Sorry, rant over!!!0 -
Well I'm back from the doctors, still non the wiser really but feeling a little better about it.
He basically said that at this stage its quite normal to bleed, but that either way (sticky bean or not) there is nothing that can be done, and to ride it out.
He said the fact that I've not had any pain, just a dull ache which has gone now, and there's not ***TMI ALERT*** any big clots, just mucusy and brown (sorry) that it sounds like nothing to be alarmed by but if it gets heavier or i get any pain to go back straight away.
he also recommended to do another test if nothing is any worse on wednesday or thursday and if its still positive then to call for an appointment with the midwife.
So results of today are that I must relax and ride it out for another few days to see what happens.
I know there's nothing that can be done either way, I'm just impatient now to know!!
Hope today is going well for everyone else

fingers crossed for you Lizzie_b - sounds very similar to what I had a couple of weeks ago. when I mentioned it to my doctor last week (and also the few close friends I've told - and google!!) it seems it was an implatation bleed - apparently brown blood is ok!
Im still showing positives on tests and still have achy boobs etc so am positive thinking all the way that that is all it was - I will obviously find out when I have my first scan (which is another reason why Im getting impatient!!)
