tinkwings - I think its the unknown that makes it worse and the waiting And I am getting more worked up about my scan on thursday, so am guessing my advice would be a bit rubbish

I have got my fingers crossed and everything else for you and lots of positive thoughts being sent to you and baby!! xxx

Sending you massive massive ((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))) Tink. Its so scary when you've had losses and bad news and sadness and I think its easier to expect that in the hope it wont hurt so much. Its really really hard but by this time tomorrow you will have seen a beautiful tiny baby with a lovely heartbeat and you can begin to enjoy this. You're in my thoughts and prayers lovely, this will be the one for you x

newcook - its stuff like hereditary problems, diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure etc If there is any learning difficulties or if your mum had pre eclampsia (it is more likely you will get it if she did? Saying that my mum was hospitalised for 24 weeks when having me, but I have never had a whiff of anything in any pregnancy - my blood pressure is actually on the low side !) So don't worry about things like that - they will just explain why they are asking.

Hi all, scan went fine there is definitely a little one in there! They dated me at 13 weeks with a due date of 9th April.
My next scan is on the 19th November at 20 weeks and my 16 week appointment should come somewhere in between once I book it. Guess I need to move to the next group now but I will keep any eye on here to see how you all get on. Thanks for all the support in my 12 week wait!

Welcome to all the new arrivals I'm sorry, but have such terrible memory and attention span at the moment I can't remember the names from the past three pages... saw my mw again today and she said not to worry, this is normal in pregnancy!

Someone was asking about an early scan on the NHS; I've had 2 miscarriages - one mmc in Nov and a nmc in May. When I saw my mw for my first appt this time she asked how I wanted to play things and if I wanted an early scan (she could tell I was anxious as I burst into tears as she was taking my history). She rang the scan dept and arranged an early scan for me there and then and kept all the books/info for my appt today after the reassurance scan, so it really does seem that everywhere does it differently!
