Ah Tink it was you...I knew someone had a scan tomorrow!! Hope all is well
Have called into work & my manager was great, told him what was going on and that I didnt want anyone knowing except the 2 other managers, he's happy for me to take today and tomorrow to rest up and relax, hopefully by the time I'm due in on Wednesday I'll have done another test and I'll know whats happening.
The doctor also said today that he's seen women that have bled with no pain for 13weeks at the start of there pregnancy and have gone on to have perfectly healthy babies so who knows.

Hello ladies!!!
Hope everyone is well? Still a few green people (myself included). I am 12 weeks today and no sign of the sickness easing up - had an impressive bout of projectile sickness on saturday morning which lasted about 4 hours. During this time I had to go and have my booking in appointment with my MW. Luckily she was very supportive and was not at all phased with my rushing off every 5 minutes :rotfl:. She then gave me a sick bowl (one of the papery ones you wee in) because it was not giving me much warning and I dont think she wanted clean it up :rotfl:
I will continue on the sickness medication for another month, so at least I do get some good days that way
It did ease up, so was just left with severe nausea and managed to have a fab night with OH at John Bishop and a night over in a hotel.
My scan is on thursday and everything remains crossed. I am still bleeding but clearly have all the other pregnancy symptoms stillso it is just a waiting game for me.
My Masters is in full flow ( I had definitely underestimated the amount of work I would have ) but will be worth it in the end. i don't know anyone who has done one, so I sort of went in blind
I will also try and update the list later this evening when I get a couple of minutes. ( I know I said I wasn't able to do it anymore but as no-one else has jumped at such an opportunity I will put an up to date one up - to welcome the newbies!)

Yay newcook - for the booking in appointment, I always think this makes it seem real, especially when they discuss hospitals and labour options.
Sadly I have no options this time and will be taken into hospital at 37 weeks due my previous big babies and super fast labours and induced againBut at least that way I know when baby will arrive but sad that I have no chance of the home birth I have so desperately wanted, but am pretty sure OH would be like a headless chicken if I had it at home anyway :rotfl:
lizzie b - bleeding in pregnancy is normal for many women - I bled at some point with all my other 3 and have bled for the mainpart of this pregnancy. With the others, I was scanned early, and no causes were ever found and it just suddenly stopped. This time I have 2 subchorionic haemotomas (possibly caused by my severe sickness - wretching etc) and have been monitored much more closely. But I have now reached the 12 week mark and will be scanned every 2 weeks until (hopefully) the bleeds disappear. It has been a very very worrying time for us, as I know it is for many ladies on here. But it doesn't always mean bad things - but unfortunately all you can do is waitwhich , if you are anything like me - is excruciating as I am so impatient

I will have everything crossed for you chonorla!
I know its probably been answered a million times on here but what can I expect at the booking in appointment?!0 -
newcook - my booking in appointments have all been about an hour long. They take all your details (employment, personal details etc) and go through yours and OH medical history to check for diseases etc.
They will do a urine test ( so remember to take one - I had to put mine in a fruitshoot bottle as it was all I could find :rotfl:) and some blood tests.
They also cover things like healthy eating, exercise, domestic violence, benefits and discuss other issues you may have had with previous births (only if relevant obviously!) My midwives are always more than happy to answer any questions that you may have (and even I had them even though this is my 4th baby ) I know they sometimes they will discuss birth plans briefly (they will do it nearer the time in more depth) but it was that long ago when I had my first that my brains a bit foggy on that one. Though I only did a birth plan with the first one and it was never looked at - am afraid i had to go with the flow when in labour as I have them rather quickly!!
They will also do height, weight and BMI.
Hope that helps - its quite a nice appointment because it is the longest you get with your MW at any point in your pregnancy, so if you have any questions, just ask them.
If I think of anything else I will post up. But feel free to ask me anything, and I will TRY to help.....:rotfl:0 -
lol!! many thanks, I will have to get OH to get on the phone to his parents and get their medical history if he doesnt already know it - good job we've already told them Im pregnant!!0
