Hope everyone is well today,
I'm not quite sure how to feel today, woke up this morning to find I'm bleeding, its not at all heavy really **TMI ALERT** mostly browny colour but some little more red clots when I wipe, Still got what feels like period type aches but I've had them for about two weeks, (missed period was only due last Saturday (22nd))
So I'm not really sure what to think or do, haven't even made an appointment with the doc or had it confirmed yet but going off my LMP I'm 5+2 today.
Anyone else have a clue what it is I'm experiencing or if I should be as worried as I am (I keep crying so OH is certain I'm still pregnant)

Lizzie I had brown discharge & bleeding with DD2 at 8 weeks. If you are worried AT ALL the best thing to do is see the GP/Mid wife.
Normally if it is not period type bleeding it can be normal. But everyone is different.
I would contact the GP on Monday. No scan will show up anything until after 6 weeks. If you can think it........it will happen0 -
Thanks for the reply tink
I've been reading on various forums that lots of people seem to have had bleeding at some point so that's reassuring. I'm not in any pain at all, just a dull ache really but I've had that constantly.
I always planned to call the docs for an appointment in the morning anyway, think I'll see how I go on the rest of the day and if its no heavier do another test in the morning then go from there.
And until then I'll go by your siggy...I'll think everything will be ok and it will bemight stop me crying at least

lizzie, bleeding is indeed extremely common in early pregnancy, and usually if it is brownish in colour it is older blood. It is the bright red blood moixed with clots and cramping that can be concerning.
I agree with Tinks, see your GP if you are worried xMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Thankyou so much for the reassurance, I've been reading readin reading all afternoon (with my feet up nice & relaxed & OH being an absolute gem) on a few forums about all the people who describe the same bleeding as I seem to be getting.
Feeling alot better about it than I did this morning when all I could do was keep bursting into tearsand telling OH it's gone away.
Will call the docs in the morning regardless I think
Hope everyone else is doing well, I'm all me me me on here today

Lizzie - Good to hear you are taking it easy.
I am busy at the sewing machine making these from my order book -If you can think it........it will happen0 -
Hello ladies,
Lizzy_B it is really normal to have some bleeding in early pregnancy and they normally say brown blood is old so not too worrying but you contact your midwife or epu, they probably wouldn't scan so early but might if you're lucky and can definitely do hcg blood tests to see what your hormone levels are doing as this can give some reassurance.
Unfortunately its quite often a case of wait and see which is hard but I will keep my fingers crossed for you that its all ok.
Lazywife - good to see you, glad your booking in was good and you had a nice break with your family
I know I'm a bit late on the caffeine thing but the recommended limit is 200mg a day (a cup of coffee = 100mg, tea = 75mg coke =40mg) so a can of coke once in a while should be absitively fine for you
tinkwings - I have been thinking of you all weekend - its so hard waiting for a scan, I have been trying to think positively , this is a new pregnancy with a new egg and new sperm and statistically there is still a better chance of everything being just fine than not. I know though that all the reassurance in the world wont make you feel any better so I will just say I am thinking of you and praying that in May next year you will be the mother of a beautiful healthy new born baby. Thinking of you lots and will be keeping things that way until you see everything perfect on Tuesday night xx0 -
Thank you Lemon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxIf you can think it........it will happen0
