sorry for confusing anybody else! 400 is the correct doseage, I got confused between micrograms and milligrams!
dundeediva, I can't believe they said that and are saying something very different to me! I can't even find it written anywhere in my green book so feel like I am making up what the mw said it! I am really annoyed if I have to go back to the doctor to get it though, as I can't get there til Tuesday next week! AND isn't it more important earlier on in the pregnancy anyway?Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -

It's most important to take it for the first 12 weeks but I think you can keep taking it throughout the 9 months if you want to.0 -
2b yea you need a prescription hun, in the meantime you can just take the 400microgram ones and make sure you eat plenty of folic acid rich foods. Advice differs between pct's. I'm on 5mg. You can't overdose on it or anything so it won't do you any harm taking it xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

binkyboo, that's fine - if you do decide to take any other vitamins make sure they're pregnancy ones though as others can contain vitamin A which you're not supposed to have too much of in pregnancy.0

Have you tried lactulose? I had that last pregnancy when i was VERY blocked up and it got me back on track. Does take a few days to work though. Or I find prune juice very good, but then I don't mind the taste of it0 -
Fybogel - swear by the stuff, its the only thing that has EVER worked for me. :TBow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0
