Hi Ladies,
Hope everyones days/afternoons are going OK? For those of you working - how are you managing with symptoms?
I dont have MS, thank goodness, as I couldn't imagine what its like to have it at work, how do you cope/hide it from colleagues?
I'm just super duper tired and even though I work part time, I am struggling at the moment, everything is a bit of an effort, fees a bit like wading through treacle - even the commute to work! I am soooo ready for home and my sofa!
I am lucky that I can work from home pretty much whenever I like, so have been doing that 2-3 days/week lately. I am off work now for 3 weeks though because I am getting married on sunday :T:j:T:j and then going on holiday.
Off for a manicure & pedicure tomorrow with my best mate. I've been at home today packing all the wedding stuff into carefully labelled boxes. Might see if OH wants to go out for dinner tonight - would be nice to do something just the 2 of us before the madness of the weekend starts!0 -
Afternoon ladies
How is everyone today? I just found out my friend in work who i sit beside is 5 weeks along so I'm very excited to have a bump buddy, can talk to someone in RL too
2b I can't hide it in work, hence the sick line. My work are useless though, because its a call centre if i cant take calls (being sick/gagging is an issue when trying to talk to the public) they just want me to go home. I get full pay when I'm off anyway and it doesn't affect their sickness stats coz its pg related. I can't work from home because fo the nature of my job and its public sector so lots of confidentiality issues! I am REALLY lucky to have this employer though, in my old job i got no sick pay at all so I am really greatful. I hope to go back to work on Wednesday when my line runs out, even if I cant manage I can always go home again. I am a bit bored though and miss OH during the day when he's at work (we work together so normally see eachother 24/7).
Oh before i forget i got my scan date through today!! YAY!! Much excitment in Diva household! So my scan is 17th Sept (only 4 weeks away)
ps. Thanks 2b for the lists xSaving money like a trouper...0 -
Hi folks, just wanted to say hi, hope everyone is ok.
Very excited that I had my 12 week scan today. All is fine, and bubba growing nicely. Time has flown for me, and I'm sure it will for all of you too - once the first couple of weeks are out the way it speeds up.
Still feeling/being really sick here though, so much sympathy if you are too.
Hope no one minds if I continue to lurk on this thread before graduating to the 'big' one!Go your own way..

Ohhh - DW and I were loaned the box set of Downton Abbey and we have FINALLY finished watching it. I am Downton'ed out. Doesn't Season 3 start soon?Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -
Evening all. I have just woken up after falling asleep at 7 - I am absolutely wiped out!
I had hyperemesis with my first pregnancy (girl). I was only 18 and it was my first baby so I didn't realise how bad my sickness was until I collapsed at work and ended up in hospital. I was given medication at 25 weeks as I was so sick. It lasted all the way through and I was still being sick in labour. I was two stone lighter at 9 months pregnant than I was when I discovered I was pregnant. With my second pregnancy I didn't find out until I was 13 weeks (boy) and had no sickness at all. I had a massive appetite though and was a lot hairer on my arms and legs (or it was darker and more noticible). This time I am somewhere between the two. Nauseous almost all day but not actually being sick just heaving at anything and everything. So god knows what that means gender wise!
Everyone at work knows I am pg and they have been great. They have been fussing over me (men included) so feel ok at work.
Has anyone else been 'greasier' than normal? I have gone spotty and my hair is greasy a lot quicker than normal. I feel hot at the minute :rotfl:Pay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

How are you feeling Millie?
Still sickand I had decided that the sickness was going to magically disappear once I got to 12 weeks. Pah!
I've just broken up from work for 2.5 weeks though, so I'm looking forward to some time with OH and we are going away with friends for a few days next week
Our technician in work (male) gave me a huge hug yesterday (first time he'd seen me since the news broke!) and told me that if I ever needed anything/to go home, to give him a yell if he could help. Bless! A colleague told me the other day that if I had an am or pm appt, I was to take the whole morning or afternoon off, not go rushing back into work. Much as I hate my job at times, it is v flexible and I will be able to do a bit of a wind down to maternity leave0 -
Good morning ladies (and the odd bloke like me), I just thought i'd share a deal I came across this morning. Mothercare have on offer at half price,
Phillips Avent Natural Microwave Steam Steriliser. £12 rather than £24.
It will take 6 bottles at a time.
A colleague recommended these to me as they use one for there granddaughters bottles.0 -
Morning ladies, and Gentleman!
Thanks for posting the offer Flint, how is everything going with your DW's pregnancy now?
Millie - how lovely of work to be so understanding. I am terrified of telling work, as I started in April. It;'s not as if I can tell them it wasn't planned either! Just sods law really! What do you do for a job Millie, if you dont mind me asking? OH and where are you off to on Hols, are you doing a UK or abroad hol?
Penguin - OMG, poor you for your first pregnancy. It's so amazing how they can be so different? Everyone keeps telling me that no two pregnancies are the same. I am definitely getting a bit spotter. Noticed three on my face today. I've got this alcohol wipes that I use to dry them out - from the States, but not sure if I can use them at the moment? I'm questionning everything now, as I had been eating some things I wasn't supposed to the other day (Mr Whippy ice cream! I had NO idea we couldn't have that!)
TGIF! xBaby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -
Hi 2ba3c,
Thanks for asking, after a fraught few weeks of panic and worrying re very heavy bleed my DW seems to be ok. She got quite emotional over a minor thing at work yesterday but she called me and calmed down, still seems to be spotting but tells me it is old. I know that she is struggling with size of her breasts now, she was big enough before at 34F/G but now has gone to J bordering a K cup (not that I'm complaining). We have had 3 scans now at the EPU and going by their dates my wife should be at 9+6 today, we have the first midwife appointment booked for 30th August.
I have to admit that although I have always stated that I did not want a child I am really very very excited by the prospect of becoming a daddy. When we went for the emergency scan thinking we had lost the baby and then saw it still growing on screen I did a hell of a lot of blinking to surpress those tears. Anyway hope everyone has a good weekend.0
