    Hugs for Lozzy x

I've been packing boxes today, hopefully we will be moving house in a month or so.

I've been so hot, hubby said goodbye before going to work and I asked him to put the fan on so I could go back to sleep and he put it on timer for half an hour! was fuming when it went off

Really fancy burgers for my tea tonight

Ellie - very natural to be nervous, but hope your nervousness is not because of my odd experience, I am led to believe that its not normal for that to occur! Wishing you lots of luck for tomorrow :)

No i'm just nervous in general, 1st pregnancy, completely unplanned and a family history of twins. plus bad experience with ultrasound in the past ( kidney stones and a very horrible person who pressed more where it hurt)

ellie, ultrasounds for babies don't hurt at all :) I've had them done before for breasts and that was uncomfortable, but the baby ones they just kind of wipe it over your lower tummy (wear something that folds down or unzips easily, they want to be a hair over your bikini line!). So no worrying about that (can't help with the twins though!)

Huge hugs Lozzy, hope its going well for you.

Good for you 2b for complaining - we don't do it enough in this country!!!

Tatoo - we had a bbq the other night and it was awesome, I REALLY enjoyed my burger (first bit of food I've enjoyed in a good couple of months)

    Dundeediva - welcome xx

I had my booking appointment yesterday and was there for 3, yes 3 hours! MW was running late and she was standing in for the ususal one so didn't really know where forms etc were!! Oh well, I'm in the system now so am very eager to get my scan date through (I'll be 12wks on Weds). One thing that did surprise me was the MW suggested I should be consultant rather than MW lead! Not really sure what this means!

Hope you're all enjoying this nice weather

    xx

forgot to ask - are you having the nuchal test? We're not sure if we want it!

Does everyone get offered it? I don't think we will, it wouldn't bother me if our baby had downs.

countrybum - it means you'll see a consultant too rather than just midwives, they must have decided you were slightly higher risk (for whatever reason) than other ladies and want to keep an eye on you, possibly just because of blood pressure or something relatively minor. If you're midwife led you'll hopefully never see a doctor.

tbh, I don't know if everyone gets offered it, I just presumed so.

tattoo - everyone in my area gets offered the nuchal test, although someone on here wasn't but was offered the other test later on as their area didn't do nuchal for some reason.
We had the nuchal test but wouldn't have had any further tests (or an abortion) should the results have been high, we'd just have told everyone that we had a high risk and prepared ourselves a bit by reading up and so on in case. If you're a worrier though and you'll worry through the rest of the pregnancy it might not be worth the test!

thanks savage - so will I have consulatant appointments inbetween mw ones? They'll prob change their minds though - I've got a cleft lip and palate and the mw seemed to think I might need more monitoring? Also we had fertility issues so I'm not sure if that plays a part in it too?
