Hi I've been reading some of the posts for a couple of days now and thought it was about time that I joined.
I found out on honeymoon about 3 weeks ago that I am pregnant :j and since coming home I've taken 4 more tests just to make sure!.

I have an appointment with the doctor this week to confirm things but I reckon I'm about 6 weeks going by my dates. And the last time I had a baby was 13 years ago so I'm a bit anxious here!

My symptoms have died down a bit in the last couple of days but I still have quite bad heartburn and sore boobies although if that's as bad as it gets I'll be happy :rotfl:

And my lovely new hubby is making sure I don't do too much...every time I go to do dishes he sends me to the living room with a drink and tells me to rest. I can live with that :)

2ba3c I am 8 weeks now so getting there.

I rather love koppenburg non alcoholic cider its yummy and the bottle is pretty much identical.

I met my neighbours 3 week old today awwwww. She is all small and scrunchie still and has loads of dark brown hair. So cute. They don't know I am expecting (although i swear they are wondering why I got thin and now fat again!!) so we will have babies around 9 months apart :)

You have just made me day - I need to get me some of that! Was just thinking how on a gorgeous sunny week like this I need a cold iced magners!

2b - do make sure you put yourself and your family first. It sounds like you've been a great friend to her already but make sure you don't put yourself behind her ifkwim.

Congrats Anibel! What wonderful news from your honeymoon.

Had my shopping trip on Sat - bought a few size 14 things that I can wear on the way down again too. I thought they were lovely but oh said "well, if you wear those everyone will know your pregnant or getting fat cos that's the only reason you'd wear clothes like that". Such a charmer my DH. Then I tried on some maternity jeans - oh the joy! How comfy are they?! I did buy some (from Red Herring, quite impressed with them, not so much with the rest of MK - not a single other shop sold maternity stuff bar mothercare which seemed to be just for those with a mahoosive bump).

I'm 12 +3 today. Got my scan tommorrow and I veer from being the most overexcited person imagining ringing my grandparents, brother etc to imagining the worst and actually, I have been imagining being pg and they'll tell me so. I can't wait. Not sure how I'm going to drink 2 pints of water an hours before, I can't last 30 mins without going to the loo at the moment!

Ooooh, did someone mention non alcoholic cider??? :grins: While the thought of wine makes me queasy, I could go a glass or cider in this sunshine. Off to hunt some down later :D thanks

Zcrat - i didn't think I'd drunk enough water before my scan (definitely not 2 pints) but the sonographer said I obviously needed the ladies due to my bladder size and I wasn't desperate by any means

Welcome Anibell and congrats. What a lovely thing to discover on your honeymoon :)

2b, I haven't had major cramps, more like stretchy achey cramps, if that makes sense and they tend to last for a couple of hours at a time, on and off xx

Off to check out the coupon thread, thanks for the heads up :)

Every now and again I get those cramps that are just like pre-AF - the ones where you think everything is just going to come right out/I'm going to miscarry - does anybody else feel like that? Or am I going crazy... like I suspect!

Hope everyone is OK and enjoying the sunshine. I love sunshine, but with the fact I keep having hot/cold spells it can make my journey home from work unbearable!

I picked up one of those 'baby on board' badges from the tube place today. Im not wearing it, but holding on to it, until I feel like we are safe!

it's like when you go shopping with a hangover and come home with nothing but 12 litres of coke!

This always happens to me... last week I done the online shopping insead but must have been thirsty because when it arrived I had bought 3 cartons of fresh juice, 2 x 2 litres of coke, 4 pints of milk, 3 bottles of squash and some sparkling water!!!
