Good luck to jenjen & nepthys for scans today. Mine feels ages
away.

Jenjen, just read your post, keeping everything crossed for you, we really need some happy news on here. I'm sure you'll see a happy little jumpin bean!!

How are you doing Skint? I think you are one mega brave lady. How soon will they refer you for all the tests? Xxx

Nothing going on with me, on hols but have a horrible cold that's now in my sinuses and I just want to be at home, roll on Saturday, although back to work on Sunday so I maybe shouldn't wish it away!!

Jen, I am having mini panic attacks too! I did the same and came to work but not concentrating too much. DH was lovely last night. He said the usual 'It'll all be fine' last night and i got annoyed and said 'That's easy for you to say'. Bit mean of me but I couldn't help myself I was so wound up. His response was lovely. He just said, 'Just because i don't physically carry the baby doesn't mean i don't care or hope everything is ok. I really do but I have to keep you calm as well.' Unusual for my DH to be so open but quite reassuring.

I am thinking it depends where we live ? My MW came home every single day after i gave birth to check me and help me, then my lovely health visitor took over and gave me her house phone and personal mobile. I live in N.Wales if that makes any sense, it more like a small comunity place.

Went shopping with my Mum today and broke my self imposed rule of not going in cute baby shops. To be fair, it was John Lewis and we were there for other stuff and we only briefly looked.

But good god.....

£900 for a pram??!! You could buy my car for that!!

zcrat, i know, but there are usually the prams that celebrities want. Ive got a quinny buzz 3, got it at a very good price on Ebay, the same with the cabrio car seat. I am looking for cot prices but i am not buying anything else at the moment. I do want to get the big things early on while i have some money and the sales are on.
countrybum, my dd is ill so i have been indoors since monday ! i am going crazy and it keeps raining ! i will be happy to be out tomorrow at least for an hour to have my driving lesson.

Some bits are secondhand which is why they are quite cheap e.g rocking crib but it was a hardly used M&P one I bought on ebay, same with breast pump & my buggy set is the quinny buzz set with maxi cosi car seat and 2 easy bases bought from a friend in perfect hardly used condition.

With the clothes they are a mixture of new and secondhand. All the secondhand clothes bits are designer e.g Ralph Lauren but everything else has been bought new from H&M, Boots, Next, TK Maxx. M&S etc. I still need to get more clothes but I am spending more than most would on thses as I like babies to dress like people and people wouldn't just wear their PJs all day (e.g sleepsuits and baby grows) so neither will my little boy!

Wow I won some baby gro's on eBay the other day and tgen panicked it was too early haha I love how we are all different I really like babies being in a smart babygro think they look sooo cute

We nearly bought a Moses basket for £10 too but just wasn't ready yet

On another note am I allowed to get my hair highlighted? I normally have different shades of blonde put thru it x

Sorry hun I don't mean to offend - it is just my personal taste not to have my boy in a baby grow all the time when he pops out

I have been colouring my hair the whole way through and have had 3 very healthy scans so far. The riskiest thing is that the colour might not take as usual becuase of the new hormones...mine has gone golden rather than ash blonde using the same dye I always use...but then, all of my body hair has suddenly gone black and it was only mousey/blonde before I was PG!
