Hey
Well I've just booked our private scan. I've been waiting three years for this, I cannot wait 8 or so weeks to see my bean. Plus I am hoping it will reassure me and I might relax a tad. Its on the 14 July so just over two weeks and I will be 6+6. Not entirely sure what I might see but hoping for a heart beat.

Congrats Cake4Brains!!!
Ally - Why no hot tub??
Thanks all for lovely welcome.
Temp of the hot tub can cause miscarriage, my baths are normally really hot norm tho, I have to to relax my muscles (genetic cond) and if it is the same we had last time we could lower the temp, so I am going to see what happens.
Ice cream surprised me, I don't really like it but would never have thought x0 -
Soooo tired today and I'm working a 13 hour shift, roll on 10pm0

Looking into it if you crave savory things it's meant to be a boy if you crave sweet its meant to be a girl!
I had a mars bar ice-cream spat early on but now am on salt & vinegar chips.... what does that make mine? (yes, only one baby not twins!)0 -
If anyone is looking for a great book for their OHs then this one is great:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Baby-Manual-Conception-Haynes-Workshop/dp/1844257592/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1340741476&sr=8-1
It mainly focuses on the baby once it is born so you may want to look around for a pregnancy based one but this is really good as it is in "man speak" and puts an amusing tone on things.
I had a look at that before online but it seems that the earlier edition was better? I've reserved it from the library0 -
waw !! so many new faces !! Welcome all... I am here since 5 wks so, although it feels like forever, times flyes, i am 8+3 now !
Yesterday told my oh's aunty about our new surprise, i quite like her, so i just told her and asked her to keep it to herself still, she agreed to it, as she said it was the sensible thing to do, having had 2 MC's, not to tell many people till week12.
Funny thing tho, in the car going home, my OH was having a go at me, asking me why i told her, then his nana jumps in, and says " I dont know what you are hiding it, you should tell everyone and be happy about it", then i was, i am quite shy normally, but this is a hormonal version of myself saying, no! no ! no!, my husband then saying, dont shout to nana. And me like, i am not shouting, i am sorry, i am just saying the first 3 months are the most delicate ones. I just dont want to tell people yet.
I really felt like saying, actually this baby was planned, so iam so very excited and can not wait to tell people, but i am scared and dont want to tell everyone and then if anything bad happens, having to tell them that too.
her own daughters had 2 MC's so why nana can not understand that some people want to keep it a secret for a while, not that i can keep a secret, but lately i am more aware of things really. My 19 yo sister in law had a MC, although i never had one, i still feel like i should be a bit less open about my personal things.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -

I get fed up with others opinions... my auntie's child was being a brat the other day and she turned to me and said 'are you sure your are ready for this' ... i just smiled but was thinking to myself what did she want me to say??:jBaby Boy born December 20120 -

no soft ice cream? I love mr whippy!! Oh well, the weather is so crap it doesn't look like I'll be needing any!!
Welcome all the newbies, isnt it [STRIKE]terrifying[/STRIKE] exciting:D
JOjo and marie - how are you doing?
We're not telling people until 12 weeks; at the moment only parents, siblings and my 2 best friends know. I am considering telling my work friend/colleague due to my job - it can sometimes be quite strenuous and I've been asked to carry out a survey at a school. It will involve knocking holes in walls and lifting ceiling tiles and inspecting within. I'm just not sure I'm keen on doing it and considering getting her to do it - what do you think?
oh no, poor you tatoo - I would not be impressed at the thought of a 13hr shift!!:(
went to epau this morning due to one sided cramps/pain. Had a scan and thankfully everything was where it should be. Even saw a tiny fluttering heartbeat - amazing:D
hope you're all taking it easy xxx0 -
Evening all, am getting even more nervous!
