Hope it's ok if I join you. I tested +ve yesterday using the clearblue digital test and it said 3+, which corresponds to 5+ weeks apparently. If I've got my dates right (can't think straight at the moment), I can't be much more than 5 weeks.

GP appt this morning, so hopefully I'll be a bit clearer then. We are both soooooo excited, but I am also a teeny bit terrified, as although it was planned, it's just hit me how much our lives are going to change (it's my first)

The only niggle is that I've been having some light bleeding, so hopefully GP will come up with something (are they likely to scan early?)

Can't wait to "meet" you all and follow your progress :)

    Jojo, thinking of you today.
I went to A&E few weeks ago because i had pains in my right side, i had a vaginal scan ? did you have one of those yet ? And it turned out to be a cyst in my ovary.

I was getting a nagging pain in my right side last night, just went to bed and its not really there now so fingers crossed.

I'm only 6 weeks now so when do i get my booking in appointment? surely its a higher risk being a fertility treatment baby and having suffered a m/c 3 months ago and also having had pre eclampsia with my first son? or am i panicing myself for no reason? x

Hi fly, the booking in appointment really won't make any difference to your outcome, it just gets you into the system really. Usually you're seen between 8-11 weeks, depending on your local PCT.

Are you still under consultant care for the fertility treatment? They're more likely to monitor you than the midwives are - they have more access to the facilities to do so.

Unfortunately, if it's going to go wrong there is nothing that you can do about it, and being seen earlier won't change that. One miscarriage does not make you high risk, as 1 in 4 pregnancies end in MC with no effect on the outcome of subsequent pregnancies (the risk is only significantly altered after 3+ MC's). The thing you have to bear in mind is that 3 in 4 pregnancies are absolutely fine, develop normally and are not a problem. Hold onto that!

Fly - I've got mine tomorrow and - 8 weeks is when you get to see the mw at our GP's practice.

Could you ring the doc and ask?
