Had my scan this morning and it TWINS!!! Total shock, even though I had 2 embryos put back in I had convinced myself that there was only 1, saw 2 little flickering hearts. There was lots of tears. It was a good job I was lying down. I have 1 very shocked husband lol!!

Congratulations! I always think it is amazing that when they do manage to stick, they stick more than one...iyswim x

Wow, even more new guys, hi guys :hello:

If we decide to go for putting other children on our status this will be #2 for me too. DD is 7. I don't mind either way though.

Yes I was actually sick on the pavement, it's funny now! It was a very quiet residential road so no one going about, felt like a right dafty though. I would usually drop DD at school then come home for a cuppa and slice of toast before heading to work, this morning though we had workmen in the kitchen from 8 so I nipped out to drop DD at a friends to walk to school then rushed home, downed 2 pints of water and had to leave for a 20 min walk to work having had no food so my own fault really. Arrived at work in a state with a couple of people saying I looked a bit white, I just said I'd had a crap sleep and needed food!

We're telling our families later this week then I won't have to hide it as much.

Ready salted crisps have been a godsend for me too, I like walkers baked, they are really salty and only 99 cals. I'm also loving wotsits but can see how too cheesy a flavour would sound yuk to some just now. I usually eat quite healthily but have not had a veggie in weeks now. I'm surviving on toast, sandwiches, soup and crisps and haven't cooked properly for hubby and DD for a good month now. Ah well, it'll pass.

Good luck to all the scan appointments coming up, I still don't have a date.

  • Thanks for the congrats :) If DC means other children no, these will be our first (how strange that sentence is to me, but totally amazing at the same time)!!

I have actually had to come back to work this afternoon after all the excitement this morning, so much fun trying to concentrate - not, luckily they know what is going on here so I can chat about it which is a godsend.

What is it with ready salted crisps? I never liked them but have been eating them non stop for the last 2 weeks even before i was pregnant i take its not just me then?

Looking into it if you crave savory things it's meant to be a boy if you crave sweet its meant to be a girl!

Yep. No soft ice cream. Normal ice cream is fine though. Usually the midwife will refer to it as Mr Whippy type rather than saying McFlurries but I'd have thought they did mention it.

    Woohoo sillysausage, twins how exciting!

I thought the mw must of thought I was a right b*tch at booking in appointment as she said to me "as far as we know its not twins?" to which I replied "I hope not". I didn't mean it how it came out, I would be absolutely delighted if it was but practically it would be very hard (in terms of space, double the childcare costs, etc) and I am also completely daunted by the thought of looking after two, just about got my head round the idea I will have one little person relying on me!

Sorry sillysausage, don't mean to sound negative! Its just I am a little scared by the whole experience of becoming a mum so being a mum twice in one go double scares me lol
