Welcome and congrats to all the newbies!sillysausage1977 wrote: »Hi everyone,
Just wondered if it would be ok to join you guys. I have come from the Trials & Tribulations thread. Have had 2 goes at IVF and fell on my second go. Had test at the hospital 6th June (was so shocked!!) We have got our 7 week scan tomorrow so excited but a bit scared as well.
Welcome and congratulations! Hope the scan goes well today.JoJoB wrote:Thanks for the positive vibes and hopeful messages. Am not very near home so wont see gp till next week. Will see how things go and hopefully gef hold of a test in a couple of days.
Feeling philosophical about it at the moment and not freaking out though x
Oh JoJo! How are you feeling today? As you are away, you can call the local GP surgery and explain the situation and get a GP to refer you to the local EPU. I know some will let you self-refer but my experience is that some won't. All of my local ones it has to be a GP referral. I hope it's all settled down now but a scan would set your mind at rest.I started spotting this morning too. As I'm also cramping I headed to doc. Have appt at epu tomorrow. Hoping for the best but had an mc before and finding it hard to imagine anything other thn a bad outcome.
Big hugs Maire. Good luck at the EPU today. I hope it is good news for you. Been there too many times myself so I know how you are feeling, but try and be positive if you can.mintedby30? wrote: »I've just been sick in the street! It's a glamorous business this pregnancy lark!!
:rotfl:Actually sick on the pavement? Did people think you were drunk?! Poor you!
AFM, I'm ten weeks today, boobs still very sore but no other symptoms, not been sick for over a week although I was never sick with DD so I'm not too concerned. Do wish I had more symtoms, not got a little tummy yet or anything and can't find a thing on my doppler.
I can;t remember how early I have the heartbeat in other pregnancies. I know with my missed miscarriage I heard it at 10 1/2 weeks, because I never found it after that and later discovered that was when the baby had died, so maybe I will find this one in a few days' time. I just wish I could find something now, can;t help worrying that it's another missed miscarriage. Beginning to wish I'd booked a private scan.
My MW doesn;t totally understand. She said 'if you were miscarrying there would be blood' but you don;t get that with a missed one! You'd think she would know that! I had to explain to her! :eek:
Ah well, I can;t do anything either way so I guess I just have to wait, Two weeks and one day till scan day.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I am 8w4d today EDD 31/01/13! Got my first appointment with the midwife today so will hopefully get a scan date!
Baby number 3 for me and DH I think I might actually be crazy
I havnt actually told anyone yet Im a bit worried with this pregnancy as I have had hardly any symptoms whereas with DS2 I felt horrible, but they say every pregnancy is different I suppose.
Not sure if my Mum will be happily surprised or angry when she finds out Ive waited till after my first scan to tell her :think:.0 -

Congratulations and welcome. I've added you to the sticky.
I was wondering...do people want to put on the sticky which child this one will be? As in, #1, #2, #3? I can't decide if that's a good idea or not.
Mine should be #2. I say should be as it's the sixth time I've been pregnant so I am literally not counting my chickens before they are hatched, which is why I wonder if people would prefer not to add this info on.
What does everyone else think?:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Welcome and congratulations to all the new BFP's!!
I've just been sick in the street! It's a glamorous business this pregnancy lark!!
Have a great day everyone xxThat happened to me a few times and people just stood and watched...they could at least get on with their business and pretend they can't see me!!!
The worst was outside some nightclubs/pubs on my way to work at 7am...looking like a dirty stop out that had been out all night!!!:jBaby Boy born December 20120 -
:rotfl:at being sick in the street minted! Well, lol for what people might have been thinking (hungover or drunk) which would be very far from the truth! Not lol at all for how you are feeling though.
JoJo and Maire please update us when you can. We hope that everything is ok and your mind will be put at rest.
Skintchick, I really hope that your bean is an ultra-sticky one this time. Will most definately be keeping my fingers crossed for a lovely scan.
Welshgirl, I know what you mean about feeling that it is all a dream - when I got my scan date yesterday I played through how the scan could go in my mind. It didn't seem to affect me thinking about it being happy (baby is well, strong heartbeat) or if it went horribly wrong (mmc) - I don't think I have allowed myself to form an attachment yet, just in case. Although I was pleased at the thought of not having to keep it a secret anymore as I am always such an open type of person so finding it really difficult watching what I say!:heart: Became Mrs W in 2011:smileyhea Blessed with Baby boy 1 in 2013, Baby boy 2 in 2016 and Baby boy 3 in 2018 :smileyheaDebt @ 19/8/11 [STRIKE]£20,060 [/STRIKE] current £0Paid off 100% :dance:0 -
Countrybum, hope you are ok. Just popping over from the 12-24 thread (im 19wks now) to try and reassure you regarding pains in your side. Ive been speaking to lots of people on another forum who have had the same thing. I was so convinced mine was ectopic when I went for a scan at 6 weeks, I was terrified. Turned out both embryos were in the right place!
And crisps have been my best friend for the last 4 months too!
JojoB, I too had extreme pains early on and lots of very bad cramping, think it was about a week after my BFP. I was crouched over on the kitchen floor at one point and started bleeding. It turned out to be constipation (really didnt feel like it at the time). Like everyone has said though, try and get into an EPU as worrying isnt going to help any. HTH xx
Maire1 also wishing you the best of luck xx
Tinksy, I called in at Boots last week to ask the chemist what I could take as I was really suffering. He said there was nothing he could give me as everything had been changed due to government policy. He said it was a bit silly as there had been no problems with any medication and pregnant women but in his opinion it was them being overly cautious. He did say to see my doc if I was that bad, tho countrybums doc seemed of the same opinion
SillySausage, so glad to see you on this thread :T:j:T:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
Skintchick, I don't think it is a bad idea. Maybe make it a bit more like the TTC so for example mine would be something like baby#1, 1 mc?:heart: Became Mrs W in 2011:smileyhea Blessed with Baby boy 1 in 2013, Baby boy 2 in 2016 and Baby boy 3 in 2018 :smileyheaDebt @ 19/8/11 [STRIKE]£20,060 [/STRIKE] current £0Paid off 100% :dance:0

I do think it's quite a good idea to put #of kids - helps identify some of us noobs that have no kids, no experience and are really quite scared now that I may possibly have a live thing to look after in 7 months time:o I also find it useful to have mc information, purely so I don't offend anyone and can hopefully understand a bit more if they've been through something.
Tattoo - let us know how you get on this afternoon!
Anyone go on Mumsnet? ventured over there last night to have a look.0
