With the pains on 1 side, I get those sometimes too, when I had the early scan 2 weeks ago, it showed an ovarian cyst which was the likely cause of my side pains. I had the same with my son & had to go & get the cyst checked out after he was born.

We had the torch come through last Saturday, the atmosphere was amazing!

Edit - knew I'd missed a bit! I had my son in hospital. At the booking in appointment, the midwife did mention that I was a great candidate for a home birth this time as last time, there were no complications. I don't really fancy that but we do have a midwife led unit in the next town which sounds great. Beats travelling 10 miles to the nearest hospital!

CollieCake, congrats on a quick BFP. The main things are don't lift anything heavy (although these days my DH won't even let me carry a bag of bread out of the supermarket, not that I am complaining :rotfl:) and have a look at what foods you should be avoiding (there is a page on the NHS website).

I am really pleased at when my scan is - my birthday is that weekend so I will be seeing my friends and family who will be questioning why I am not drinking so it will be lovely to be able to tell them all!

Welcomet o the newbies, i thought it was going to be quite quiet here but the BFP keep coming !!
I am 8+1 today, aapointment with the MW on 2/7 and no scan date yet... I feel quite sick and yes, i am eating loads too. i really should try to watch my weight.

sillysausage, great to see you over here, I remember you from 12+, didn't realise we could be neighbours!!!

re hayfever, my doc said not to take anything and it has been hard! I put a cold flannel over my eyes when I get chance to reduce puffiness - doesn't help with the itching and sneezing though. I did see something in boots last year which I tried but couldn't get on with (said suitable for use in pregnancy). It was a nose spray but very thick, almost like a gel. The theory was it created a 'plug' in your nose to stop pollen getting in. It might be worth a try.

I'm working from home today so I can avoid all the road closures due to the torch. Nervous about tomorrow as I'm going to epau for the one-sided pain I'm having. Didn't sleep too well last night mulling it all over in my head.
