Hi everyone,
My name is Emily and I'm expecting my first baby on the 8 Dec :j
Its my first pregnancy and so far it has not gone well! Im still being really sick and have lost 6 kg. I was given some anti-sickness tablets but just end up sicking them up! I have also been diagnosed as having a mildly overactive thyroid which they have decided not to treat as they think it was caused by the pregnancy and will sort its self out. I thought i would love being pregnant ans was so looking forward to it but its not been the case so far.
I feel much better for sharing all of that and now have to go for another doctors appointment...the joys!
Welcome emilykeep your chin up, i had a miserable pregnancy last time, this time I am just starting to feel better, I have been through all the anti sick pills imaginable!! I know it feels awful and never ending at the minute but it ill be sooooooooooo worth it.
Ps I agree coming on here and sharing your troubles does help you will get so much support from the lovely ladies on here :T***** on the road to debt freedom *****

I bought a couple of things from Next, Asda and Dorothy Perkins but I ordered it online as not sure how good the maternity ranges in store would be.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
I never had any sickness but at the start of pregnancy and now toward the end if I leave big gaps between meals I feel a bit queasy , I just eat dry crackers , found that they really help settle my stomach. Also eating little and often helps.
Maternity clothes-- I bought a few bits from New Look and was very disappointed as my work trousers lost colour very quick and one of the tops shrunk and the maternity leggings got a hole in them very quickly. Also bought expensive stuff from Mamas and Papas and lost a button off my maternity jeans first day I wore them , and lost 2 decorative buttons off the sleeve of a shirt !!!
I would recoment H+M , they do lovely stretchy "mamma" t-shirts which are fab and the trousers are so comfy , I bought mostly black for work , and they are still jet black. HTHThanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Thanks ladies, I've got a few bits from matalan online, and was given absolutely loads by friends and colleagues, even DH's colleagues wife who I have never met! But they are all winter things and I'm getting a bit sweaty in long sleeved t-shirts! Will have a look in Next and DP and H&M, had a look in Asda last week but they don't have any instore.
Lablover - were they under the bump black trousers from New Look with gold around the edge of the buttons? If so I have the same ones and they are now grey! But sooo comfy- or at least they were until my bump got too big for them!Bump due 22nd September0 -

Debenhams has the Red Herring maternity range and there's a sale on atm, also mothercare still have their 3 for 2 :money:. I have to say for skirts / trousers / leggings they are both by far much better quality than the ones I got from Asda and Next. For tops though, I don't have many actual maternity tops, I found you could get lots of roomy tops just in a size bigger than normal so you didn't have to pay a premium. I have got mine from Asda, Tesco and Store Twenty One. I also have a couple of normal floaty maxi dresses from there as well.0 -
Debenhams is now on my list! Thank you. I went into Mothercare and they had some grey jogging bottoms and some black ones and matching hoodies... that was all!!! Where's the MOTHERcare in that?!! I'll look online if I don't have any luck though.
I was managing with size bigger tops and empire line things but this baby doesn't seem to think that I should be doing that any more, I dread to think the size of my bump by September!!!Bump due 22nd September0 -
Hi Guys
Can i please ask a question re something i'm confused about - thanks!
I know I can't eat deli meat etc. But what about packaged ham from tesco etc? Or sandwich turkey or chicken? Just not sure what I can eat for lunch now.
