    Afternoon all

Labour vibes to those in need (thinking of Madbird specifically ;))
Congrats to anybody I've missed on the birth front.

Thanks for all the advice on the doggy whiff in the carpets.

Mrs Spendalot - how sweet of you to offer your Vax :) - we have in fact got a Vax and have used the special pet shampoo to clean the carpets ourselves twice (they have also been professionally cleaned before we moved in) so guessing the pong is just going to take time to go.

OH is going to clean the carpets again this weekend (then hopefully I can persuade him to set up the cot and unpack some of the baby stuff as he hasn't wanted to cos of the smell :()

Went for my last midwife appointment this morning - all measuring well - still 50th centile and babys head now almost fully engaged - on countdown for her arrival (only 2 more weekends left) - 15 more days to wait  am trying to make the most of the piece and quiet while it lasts!

    Love to all xxxxx

We had a man steam clean downstairs for £55, honestly my carpet was so grim I had forgotten what colour it was, and it came up like new and smelt nice.

Might be worth seeing if there is a man like that near you!

Welcome Helen, hope you feel better soon!

PigPen sorry you're not feeling great - I wondered where you were - one of those days I guess eh - I was pretty much like that at work yesterday but not too bad.

    Baby Brain...
On Tues I cooked a steak dinner... we ate it and was lovely but not much of it... then last night I discovered the potato wedges still in the oven, had forgotten they were there :rotfl:OH thought it was hilarious and we fell about laughing.

Last time I had baby brain I served the cat his food and went to work. Then got home and found I had left it on the counter and he hadn't realised... :rotfl:luckily he had wet food still on the floor, otherwise poor thing would have starved that day :p

On the list of things to avoid, I'm fine with most of them. All stuff I would have eaten fairly regularly, but no great heartache to avoid for a bit.

The one thing I do miss- a nice, bloody blue steak- preferably alive and named when I drove into the restaurant.... It just isn't the same all brown and chewy. :(

P.S Meant to ask yesterday , does anyone hear from Pixie Pop ? She used to post quite a bit and was due around the same time as Apricot and I , hope she is okay

I am alive. I'm just a slight lurker and sometimes I'm just not online at all. Things are very tiring at the moment and getting laptop out and mustering the strength to read sometimes is just effort :P But I am fine, thanks. How are you? :)

So why don't you have some??

They are not on the 'forbidden' list.. it is shellfish.. with shells.. like mussels and cockles and oysters as they get filth caught up in them due to the way they eat (filter feeders) and contaminated with all sorts of gank.. prawns are fine.. always have been.. but not raw :p

:j:j Wahey!! I'm top of the list....I refuse to go bold! :D Thanks for all the labour vibes, gratefully received, have plenty of room for more!

galvanizersbaby, our Morrisons has these carpet cleaning machines you can hire.

Maternity clothes....look at for Next sale on line next month as I got most of my tops from there, try getting leggings next size up from your usual size as well.

Monitoring all fine, but if one more midwife tells me his head is very low then they will get the no !!!!!! sherlock response!
