    Good news relic x

Kandboys, congrats on scan and team blue, sod what everyone else says!

As for me I've had a full sweep today and I'm already 2-3 cms dilated with a soft cervix. Been having tightenings for last few days so not surprised. Getting the carseat out of loft as tummy really tight now and constant twinges. So if I disappear for a bit you know why.....or knowing my luck I'll still be here in a week! Love and hugs all round xx

evening girls, how is everyong feeling. Sorry i don't get chance to post much on here and the thread moves so fast i struggle ot keep up.

Well alot of my pains are now subsiding which is fantastic. although the braxton hicks are still hurting like mad. but there less frequent now . altough tbh i'm nto sure if i prefers more and less painful, or fewer and more painful if that make sence. But there is talk now of being section sooner thta the first date thought. but will find out more at my scan and consultant app on the 28th. But i'm kinda working to the 17th qug as i think i have come round to accpetiong section is best. and i do just want my son here safely.

Which mean 69 days and he will be here, omg how excited am i. this pregnancy is flying. i can't wait till he's in my arms and home with the rest of his siblings and hubby. a perfect lil family.my children are getting so excited.

Also building work has finished we now have 1 extra bedroom yippeee which my dd has really made her own. it is fantastic. we were gonna do the other building work, but going to wait until after baby born now. it amount of brick dust was crazy.

i built the babies cot today. i'm so chuffed did it all by myself. well with a bit of help from my 3 yr old. My parents bought us the cot and i love it. it is a toys r us one . nothing expensive or ott, just really simple and nice. i've sorted all babies clothes into his drawers, hung clothes in the wardrobe. it is coming together so nicely.

Considering at start of pregnancy i was worried as i didn't feel preg ( even at 20 odd weeks ) and thought i'd never get excited it is now OMG OMG how excited am i,lol.:T i am scared also, like any mum you have yoru worries which is natural.

Still unsure as to which pram to get, got a choice of 4 we love. the mothercare my3, Herbie ziko, Obaby zezu and pliko. i genereally always have a pliko. but this time i can't make my mind up. I', also looking for a nice luna on ebay as i want one of these also as i love them. but want the azure colour i think it called.:rotfl:

how is everything finding there sleeping ? i'm really struggling. i'm so tired yet i get to bed and it feels like i can't switch off. like i'm so excited and buzzing just like xmas eve, lol. and then when i do fall asleep i wake up with cramp in my legs, or needing a wee. and i know over the weekend i won't get any sleep. it the isle of wight festival and we live about 5 mins walk from the site, so it will be loud till about 1 or 2 am. i don't mind really, but i bet their the nights i can sleep.

Hello, thanks for the welcomes :-)
I can see I need to get online more often!!
Lirin- I had really bad back ache, to the extent Id be crying trying to lie down at night, went to an Osteopath who specialises in pregnancy and she pretty much sorted it in one go. Going back next week with dh and she's going to show him what he can do if it flairs up again. It was about £40 for a session but sooo worth it!
on the discharge... If you're really concerned it might be worth a trip to the sti clinic, not because you've got one but they are more used to doing a swab as routine and might be more interested than the midwife.
Worked out I've got 35 shifts left at work, minus 5 days leave, so 360 hours!!!
Can't sleep tonight and getting a bit peckish. Might go and find the pop tarts!
    Xx

    Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some advice on placenta previa please. My placenta is anterior and is around 12mm away from the OS. There is also an artery and a vein just in between the placenta and the OS. I was told they would have to cut through the placenta to get the baby out and i would need a general anesthetic and also probably hemorrhage. I am now so scared I can't sleep, I keep thinking i won't wake up, i won't be awake to see the baby when she is born and hold her (nor will my partner) i'm also worried for my DD as they will have to cut through the placenta first won't that affect her also? I just can't settle, can't stop thinking about i.
I will be taken in at around 38 weeks (i'm now 35+1) as I'm diabetic anyway.
Has anyone had any experience of this please?
    Thank you,

    Michelle x

Hi Michelle, reallysorry to hear of your problem, I don't know anything about it but I think you need to speak to your gp or maternity unit, it doesn't sound like they've explained this to you very well and you should be enjoying your last few weeks of sleep! I hope you get some answers and can put your mind at rest. X x

Don't leave until you're satisfied with the answers you get, it might be helpful to write all your concerns down, i always forget something while Im in there. And could you call him in the meantime? a week is a fair old time to be worried. X x

I had thought of that, as i have total baby brain at the moment and I know i will forget something. I will look in to ringing him (i didn't know you could?) but it's worth a try. Thanks again Hayley x
