oh wow , lots of interesting jobs.We will all be doing the same job shortly though ,lol. Im just getting SMP aswell , no fancy packages here or anything. Its a bit scary as OH has his own business and due to the recession he is really struggling to get contracts. No point worrying at the minute though.
Supermaiden I leave in 2 weeks aswell and I havent heard a peep about wages etc.
Lirin-we have similar issues with nephew. We have him most sundays and he spends rest of the time with MIL and his eating is terrible. They just let him eat rubbish all the time, MacDonalds, fried chips with wee sausages most nights for tea. Baby will be going to MIL's for child care 2 days a week and I have no idea how to tell them that I dont want my child to be fed the same rubbish.... Will cross that bridge when I come to itThanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

I work in retail, where it seems everyone in the higher sections (managers, supervisors etc) has an over inflated ego and are rude and lazy! This is just my work place though, no offence to others intended! Glad to get on leave actually and not have to put up with it in my department lol.:j0

Supermaiden I am really sorry but I am not actually sure what paperwork you are supposed to get.
. I have never ever been given any but my maternity pay has always turned up in my account no problems so I have never paid that much attention

Supermaiden- I cant wait to leave either. Kind of wish I was leaving now.... have I mentioned how much my replacement annoys me ?Lol In all seriousness she speaks in a baby voice whenever anyone asks her a questions or to do something. At first I thought it was nerves..... 5 weeks later I think its just an annoying habbit.... SOMEONE STOP ME MOANING PLEASE !!Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

My manager printed me off an employees maternity handbook from our company. In it, it says they will write to confirm they have received your MATB1 form and what payments you will be entitled to, I'm guessing Supermaiden is expecting a similar thing?Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

I was wondering this too. We are going through a massive restructure which includes not only my team but HR too. They haven't helped with my SMP forms at all.
I am a Chartered Commercial Property Surveyor for a national bank (one of the good ones honest). Which basically means I look after all the estate management of the bank branches throughout the UK. Up until recently its been a really good job but with our restructure it now looks as though I'm going to be losing it so just getting my head round being unemployed with a new baby and probably having to be a SAHM for a while.Leo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T0 -
well as I am fed up and can't move I listed some more carp on ebeast.. seems amusing listing maternity stuff when I am wearing it! lol It is a general mishmash of items which gave me a moment of interest. I have a couple of items I need to do pics of and update but I can do that shortly.

Oh.. todays hilarity... my sis has a problem with her back.. my mother is going away this weekend and my sisters OH is working.. my mother asked ME if I will go round and help my 23 y/o sister get out of bed!!!!!! I said if she comes and helps me get out of mine I'll gladly go! stupid woman... can tell she hasn't bothered to see me for 3 months can't you!!!! I don't think I could actually walk round to their house TBH.. they live the next street up from me.. same house number next street!!!
I don't know whether to think it is hilarious she would suggest I go or be furious that I am way way down the list of people to bother about and have been since January! I have seen her twice in that time.. once when I demanded! she came round for DS3's birthday and then at easter when we did a BBQ and invited lots of people and she felt obliged! after OH's mum drove 100 miles to get here!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Im an accountant for a contracting company. I hate it but not enough hate to actually leave if that would ever make sense. No one does any work apart from me. My 'replacement' is the bosses daughter and she is completely useless. She's worked here 6years and still has no clue or interest in what she is doing. rant, rant, rant. Sorry everyoneTesco CC 1300/461.93/838.07Mini HP 13000.62/5813.62/71870 -
Lirin I don't think you are being unreasonable at all. A ten year old should surely by now eat the food that is being offered (I understand not everybody likes the same food but to have something different every time is ridiculous IMO) and she is quite capable of sitting to the table with everyone else, it's nice to have a chat over meals anyway - sort of a bonding thing?supermaiden wrote: »I am just wondering are we meant to get confirmation or anything of SMP? I haven't had anything either but if you are only getting SMP you should be able to work it out yourself. The only reason that you wouldn't be able to get it is if you haven't been in the job long enough and in that case you'd probably be entitled to maternity allowance anyway.
Im so bored, there is only so much surfing the internet I can do day in day out! Wish I was leaving sooner but Im finishing at 35 weeks as it is (holiday to use up), my maternity leave starts when Ill be 39 weeks - Im hoping the little one isn't late though - any time after the 22nd of July is ideal for her to arrive (if only it were that simple :rotfl:):happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
